Howard Rubin: Manhattan Millionaire Gagged, Raped, And Beat Women In Homemade ‘Dungeon,’ Allege Models

Howard Rubin, the multimillionaire who is perhaps most known for having made Merrill Lynch lose up to $377 million back in 1987 after markets crashed, has been accused of gagging, beating, and raping women to the point of them needing medical attention, according to a new bombshell lawsuit filed in a Brooklyn court, reports The Daily Beast.

Three plaintiffs — two of them Playboy models — have accused Rubin of running a human-trafficking ring in which he allegedly used other women to lure models into his Manhattan apartment, often on the pretext of photo shoots or companionship. To scout for models online and to finally help them reach his $8 million Manhattan apartment, he used the services of Stephanie Shon — a 29-year-old former model and an account manager — who reached out to models on Instagram and encouraged them to meet up with Rubin, the lawsuit reads.

According to the documents, Shon provided financial reprieve to help models travel, paying as much as $2,000 just to fly out to New York (“no strings attached”) and meet up with the Wall Street millionaire. Once there, if they felt uncomfortable in Rubin’s company, the models would be encouraged by another woman allegedly also employed by Rubin — a certain Jennifer Powers — to spend time with the millionaire because he was “a great guy.”

Invariably, since it was women acting as conduits for the alleged sex predator, models would fall into this trap and meet up with Rubin in his Manhattan penthouse, where after a few photos and an uneventful dinner, he would allegedly open a hitherto locked door which was the “dungeon,” according to the New York Daily News.

This room, with white carpet and red walls, was where Howard Rubin allegedly carried out his most depraved fantasies. “Filled with ropes and chains, face masks with zippers, metal hooks and various sex toys, and a large x-shaped machine,” the room was ominous by its very appearance, and it is here that the models allege that Rubin unmasked the real purpose of reaching out to them.

Without consent and having drugged his victims, Rubin would then allegedly proceed to gag the women with various instruments of torture and then rape them violently, beating them throughout the ordeal.

One model said that Rubin punched her so hard that she needed immediate medical attention after the violent act of depravity. She confessed that she had to begin calling him “daddy” for him to stop.

Rubin then sought the help of his lawyer, Lifat Schnur, to silence the victims, the models say in the lawsuit.

Schnur has since responded to the lawsuit by saying that it is an effort by the models to extort Howard Rubin, calling the allegations a “web of lies.”
