Josh Duggar Wins Lawsuit Despite Molestation Scandal, Wife Anna Duggar Keeps Twitter Filled With Kids

Despite all the drama and scandals that raged on in his life, Josh Duggar emerged triumphant over a recent lawsuit. Two years ago, the fact that Josh Duggar had not only molested his younger sisters but also used Ashley Madison to cheat on his wife, Anna Duggar, came out into the open. This wreaked havoc on his life and on his family’s relationship with TLC, the network that hosted their famous show, 19 Kids and Counting. However, with this recent win in the courts, it looks like the 29-year-old Duggar’s life may be turning around!

After it was revealed that he had an active account on Ashley Madison, it was also noted that he used a picture that was not his own. It was a picture of a Los Angeles based DJ, who claimed that he lost professional opportunities because of Josh Duggar. The DJ then went on to sue the used car salesman.

The latest update on the case is that “a judge has ruled in Josh Duggar’s favor,” according to Daily Mail. She found that the documents were filed “in the wrong state,” which was the argument that Josh’s legal team put forth.

“Accordingly, there being no evidence of any relation between the controversy in this case and the two contacts Duggar had with California for business, the Court does not find personal jurisdiction to exist in this case,” the court documents read.

“If a visit to California creates jurisdiction, then California courts have jurisdiction over virtually everyone in the United States,” the motion read. “[Duggar’s] two visits here in 2013 and 2015 have nothing to do with [McCarthy’s] claim that [Duggar] used his picture on the internet. Neither involved contacts related to this lawsuit.”

While this is a good news for Josh Duggar, his legal troubles are far from being over. Right now, he is also trying to join a lawsuit started by his four sisters – Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna Duggar. They currently have a case going on, trying to sue the city of Springdale and Rockford County, Arkansas, for letting their names be revealed in the molestation scandal involving their older brother.

The 29-year-old Duggar’s reasoning for joining the case is that he also suffered from getting his name released. He stated that he also was a minor when he molested his younger sisters and that he deserves the protection from the government as much as they did.

The drama intensified when the sisters requested the judge handling the case to stop their brother from joining them.

“It would appear that things aren’t hunky-dory if they are having public legal battles. That would indicate they’re not coordinating things with each other,” attorney Troy Slaten, who does not work with the Duggars, shared with E! News. “They are not on the same side […] If everything was good, they may want to help each other’s legal strategy but here, they clearly have opposing legal interest.”

Throughout all this legal scandal and drama, his wife, Anna Duggar, is keeping things positive on her Twitter. She fired her account back up this summer, as she waited to give birth to their fifth baby, Mason Garrett Duggar. Since then, she has been posting pictures from her kids’ birthday parties, messages to congratulate Josh’s siblings getting married, and more.

She even opened up about visiting the rehab center that her husband spent some time back in 2015.
