WWE Superstar Chris Jericho Threatens To End A Wrestler’s ‘Push’
Chris Jericho is an interesting WWE superstar. He likes to mess around with the fans in the media and also uses his social media accounts to further the teases. He will deny when he is returning and then show up anyway. He will also tease feuds, some of which never happens. Most recently, Chris Jericho has been in a war of words with current New Japan superstar Kenny Omega and most recently Jericho took to Twitter and threatened to end Omega’s NJPW push.
Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega
The most important thing to understand is that this is all probably just Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega having fun with each other on Twitter. Omega was a guest on Jericho’s podcast recently and the two seemed to get on well, so this may be them having some fun for the fans but could also mean something else down the line as well.
It all started when Chris Jericho started to insult Kenny Omega for the fact that Omega is a huge star in New Japan, which Jericho called an “indie.” In fact, NJPW is one of the largest wrestling companies in the world, although it does not possess the scope of the WWE.
Fans came to the defense of Kenny Omega, after which Chris Jericho went on a spree of responses where he said he was blocking every one of those fans on Twitter. Jericho kept bashing Omega, to which Kenny said this is why you should never meet your heroes because they turn out to be “corporate stooges.”
It is also important to know that Chris Jericho himself used to wrestle in New Japan. As a matter of fact, in his most recent Twitter post where threatened to end the push of Kenny Omega with one phone call, Jericho admitted that he was the former tag team partner of Gedo – Omega’s boss in NJPW.

What Will This Feud Lead To?
The one thing that many fans are confused about is what this war of words will lead to. Chris Jericho is under contract to the WWE while Kenny Omega is wrestling for New Japan and Ring of Honor. Sure, the last two Bullet Club leaders before Omega signed with the WWE in Finn Balor and A.J. Styles, but Omega doesn’t seem to be headed to the WWE.
So, if this is a worked feud, meaning that both Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega are “working the fans” and they are not serious, what is the end goal of this?
The truth might come when the Cruise of Jericho takes place next October. While that is still a year away, the event is a Chris Jericho four-night cruise that will mix professional wrestling with rock and roll, thanks to Jericho’s band Fozzy.
Here is the main kicker. While Chris Jericho is under a WWE contract, the wrestling on his cruise will feature Ring of Honor wrestlers. Kenny Omega wrestles for Ring of Honor and three members of his Bullet Club are booked for the cruise in The young Bucks and Marty Scurll. The idea of Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega happening on the Cruise of Jericho is something to consider.
