Andy Cohen Loving Margaret Josephs’ And Danielle Staub’s Additions To ‘RHONJ’

Andy Cohen is loving the presence of Margaret Josephs and Danielle Staub on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. In his latest Ask Andy video, posted on Friday, the Real Housewives executive producer gave his thoughts on the addition of Margaret and the return of Danielle to the show. Andy made it clear that he thinks it was a great decision to have both women on the latest cast.

When asked by his assistant about the new season, Andy immediately brought up Margaret. He praised her for reinvigorating the show, likening her addition to what Dorinda Medly did for The Real Housewives of New York City a few seasons ago. Andy didn’t end there. He also described Margaret as “unique” and “one-of-a-kind” and proclaimed himself to be “a big, big fan” of hers.

“Oh my God. New Jersey. The new housewife, Margaret. She’s so good. She’s kind of like, I feel like she brings the same energy that Dorinda brought to New York a few years ago. She’s, she’s really unique. She’s one-of-a-kind. I’m just a big, big fan.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Andy said last year in an Ask Andy segment that Dorinda Medley revitalized Real Housewives of New York City and is just brilliant on it. He also said that Shannon Beador did the same thing for Real Housewives of Orange County.

On the current season of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Margaret Josephs has become fast friends with Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga and Danielle Staub while finding herself on the outs with Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania. In regards to Danielle, who returned to the show as a “friend of the housewives” after being away for several seasons, Andy Cohen revealed that he and the other producers wanted her back a while ago.

“We’ve been doing a dance with Danielle for years. I tried to get her back on like three or four reunion shows and she said no.”

Andy added that the reconciliation between Danielle and Teresa helped make Danielle’s return to the show a reality.

“You know what happened is she and Teresa actually became friends, so there you go.”

When Andy’s assistant chimed in that Danielle’s friendship with Teresa made her return to the show “organic,” Andy agreed. Andy later said that Danielle seems more mellow and happier now than she was a few years ago.

“I think, you know, Danielle seems mellower and happier with her life.”

Judging by Andy Cohen’s high praise for Margaret Josephs, it seems that season 8 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey won’t be her last. Nor does it seem that Danielle Staub’s going anywhere.
