‘Infinity War’ Directors Respond To Demands For Trailer, Share Epic Video On Instagram

The Avengers: Infinity War trailer might be the most anticipated movie trailer of all time. Fans have been begging the film’s directors for months just for a teaser, but they’ve been left empty-handed. Instead of staying silent, the directors decided to post a video on Instagram today to respond to the demands.

Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo co-directed Infinity War and have received thousands of Instagram comments and tweets begging them for the Avengers 3 trailer. For the most part, the brothers kept quiet, but now they are starting to troll the trolls.

On their shared Instagram account, the brothers posted an old commercial for Paul Masson wine that features iconic director Orson Welles. In the commercial, Welles paralleled a Beethoven symphony with white wine, saying “some things can’t be rushed.” They captioned the photo, “Regarding your demands for the release of the Infinity War trailer.”

Basically, the brothers are letting fans know they will not rush the trailer, and it will be released when the time is right. Many believed the trailer would debut alongside Thor: Ragnarok‘s premiere, but that turned out not to be the case.

Fans are having a field day in the comment section of the Russo brothers’ post, some applauding their sense of humor, others still demanding the trailer.

The MCU still has one film left to debut before Infinity War, Black Panther, and some fans believe they want the hype to stay focused on that film over the third Avengers installment for now.

A trailer for Infinity War premiered at San Diego Comic-Con back in July, and many were expecting an international release shortly after. It’s been over three months, and not even a teaser from the Russo brothers has been seen. Rumor has it that the Comic-Con trailer is different from the official trailer that will be released to the public.

Screen Rant notes that the trailers for the two previous Avengers films were released the October before their May premiere dates. History is clearly not repeating itself as we head into November.

It’s possible Marvel will decide to release the trailer to coincide with the premieres of Justice League (November 17) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (December 15), potentially the two biggest films of 2017.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed the Infinity War trailer would premiere by the end of the year. Fans will just have to stick out these next two months.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018.
