CBS has made some changes to its Monday schedule after benching Me, Myself & I. The new Monday night comedy lineup sees the early return of Man with a Plan for Season 2 while Kevin Can Wait and 9JKL get new time slots.
Me, Myself & I, which debuted on September 25, 2017, has been pulled off the schedule after six episodes because of low ratings. Entertainment Weekly reports that the series ratings dropped with nearly every episode. Episode 6, which aired on Monday, October 30, reportedly fetched a rating of 0.7 in the key demo (18-49), with 3.9 million viewers tuning in to watch it. CBS intends to resume airing Me, Myself & I at a later date, but according to EW, the show will be brought back only to “burn off” of the remaining episodes. The series is set to complete production on its original 13-episode order.
The show, 9JKL, another freshman offering, is getting the Me, Myself & I time slot. The series premiered on October 2 at 8:30 p.m. The Dana Klein and Mark Feuerstein-created comedy is also struggling on the rating front after premiering with a solid 1.56 rating in the key 18-49 demo. The show’s Episode 5, which aired on Monday, October 30, recorded a 0.85 rating, which is a drop of 37 percent from the premiere episode. Now, 9JKL moves to the 9:30 p.m. time slot beginning Monday, November 6.
And Man with a Plan will take the time slot vacated by 9JKL. CBS had originally planned to give the sophomore season of Man with a Plan a midseason premiere date. Now, the 22-episode Man with a Plan Season 2 premieres on Monday, November 13, at 8:30 p.m. The comedy series, starring Matt LeBlanc, wrapped up its freshman season with a rating of 1.08 in the key 18-49 demo.
Kevin Can Wait Season 2 shifted to the 8 p.m. timeslot (from 9 p.m.) on Monday, October 30 after The Big Bang Theory moved to its regular Thursday night time slot. On Monday, October 30, Superior Donuts Season 2 premiered at 9 p.m, and it will continue to air at the same time slot. Scorpion Season 3, too, retains its time slot of 10 p.m.
As Me, Myself & I has been pulled from the schedule effective immediately, a Big Bang Theory repeat will air at the vacant time slot of 8:30 p.m on Monday, November 6. It will be filled by Man with a Plan Season 2 beginning November 13.
