Prince Jackson Recovering From Knee Injury After Motorcycle Crash


Prince Michael Jackson was promptly rushed to the emergency room on Thursday following a scary motorcycle accident that resulted in Jackson suffering from a knee injury and “multiple lacerations,” according to ABC News. The son of the late Michael Jackson was on his bike and headed to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, according to Us Weekly.

When the 20-year-old lost control of his Harley Davidson, there was light rain outside, according to TMZ. In the ER, Prince was evaluated by doctors and was later released to attend class.

After the accident, Prince updated his fans on Instagram with a photo that showed him in an ambulance. The oldest son of Michael Jackson shared a snapshot of what appeared to be his feet, strapped to a stretcher in an ambulance, with the caption, “Well s***.”

Upon being released from the hospital, Prince thanked his followers for being concerned about him. Jackson said that he is resting and recovering at home. He went on to thank the Harbor–UCLA Medical Center and first responders.

In September, Prince Jackson began posting recordings of himself riding a motorcycle on his YouTube channel. In early October, Jackson shared a 25-minute video of himself riding through an open road.

“Just posted another video on YouTube… As a heads up it’s pretty long so if you don’t have anything to do for 25 Mins come on a cruise with me. Link is in bio #harleydavidson #harleylowrider.”

Prince Jackson was just 12-years-old when his father died of cardiac arrest in of June of 2009. Prince started the foundation Heal Los Angeles at 20-years-old. Heal LA is a charity to help foster children who have aged out of the system and further the cause of Michael Jackson’s Heal the World organization.

“I think he would definitely be proud of the type of work that we’re doing and giving back to the community.”

On October 27, Prince revealed to Us Weekly about his interest in motorcycles and tattoos at the Heal LA and TLK Fusion’s benefit for the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation.

“I loved art growing up… My dad taught me an appreciation for art, all kind of mediums. I was in art in high school, and I worked in different mediums.”

Prince also shared a photo with his sister, Paris, on the back of his bike and captioned the photo, “Get you a ride or die to ride into the sunset @parisjackson #harleydavidson #harleylowrider.”

Prince went on to say that he views tattoos as an art form in itself. However, he thinks body ink can sometimes be “overplayed” unless you can find a way that the tattoo accents your body.

In March, Paris and Prince Jackson also got matching yin and yang tattoos.

Jackson went on to discuss his love of motorcycles.

“Then with the motorcycles, I always thought it was dope since day 1, I’ve always wanted a motorcycle. I think the thrill of it is also what attracted me to it a little bit to it.”
