Twitter: Trump’s Account Was Down For 11 Minutes Due To ‘Human Error’ By Twitter Employee


President Donald Trump went missing from Twitter for 11 minutes on Thursday, November 2. As seen in the below tweets, folks got quite the surprise when they visited the @RealDonaldTrump Twitter page and were greeted with the information that the popular Twitter account no longer existed. Now the Twitter Government? Verified account is explaining that it was human error by an unnamed Twitter employee that accidentally took Trump’s Twitter account down.

“Earlier today @realdonaldtrump’s account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee. The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.”

Twitter is receiving a plethora of replies from the public about the faux pas, with folks posting memes and GIFs showing a person “accidentally” unplugging a cord and smiling. People on Twitter are joking with the social media networking executives, telling them to please take Trump’s Twitter account down once more. Even though Trump’s Twitter account was only gone for 11 minutes, it was long enough for the phrase “Trump’s Twitter” to become a trending item on the social media platform. It was also long enough for Twitter users to get screenshots of blissful Twitter reactions when Trump’s account went missing.

With Trump’s account missing from Twitter for a short while, the jokes are flowing in as folks ask why Twitter they decided to reactivate the controversial account. Others are expressing their doubt that it was an accident that Trump’s account was deleted and are viewing it as some sort of intentional action to silence Trump, at least momentarily.

Other Twitter users are joking that the employee that accidentally took Trump’s Twitter account down should not be disciplined but should be rewarded with a raise and promotion. Before Twitter published a tweet explaining what happened with Trump’s account, theories abounded about what could have caused the demise of the account. Whereas some people thought Trump may have been hacked on Twitter, others wondered if his incendiary and controversial tweets were the reason his account went missing in action.

Supporters who thought Trump was being silenced by Twitter called the move despicable. In the end, Trump’s Twitter account was back up and running before many Twitter users even knew it was down. Screenshots of a low amount of Trump followers can also be viewed on Twitter, although his current Twitter follower count is listed at 41.7 million followers.
