Megyn Kelly Reportedly Having Trouble Filling Audience While Other Morning Shows Have 6-Month Wait Lists

The bad streak for Today host Megyn Kelly continues, as she is reportedly having trouble getting people to attend her show at New York’s famed Rockefeller Center.

As the Inquisitr reported last week, the 46-year-old has already been going to drastic measures in order to save her failing show, even trying to get President Donald Trump to appear on the show in an effort to boost ratings. Over the past few weeks, her ratings have dropped at least 32 percent.

Now, Radar Online is reporting that Kelly is having trouble getting people to attend the filming of her live show. An insider close to the show points out that Kelly is having so much trouble filling her studio audience that she needs to give live shout-outs on the show directing viewers where to get free tickets.

On her website, the next few shows, including tomorrow’s, still have tickets available. The insider goes on to say that other morning shows like Live with Kelly and Ryan, The Rachel Ray Show, and even The Wendy Williams Show have an average waiting list of six months to get tickets.

“When you can’t get 150 people to watch the show in the audience at 30 Rock, what chance do they have to get anyone to watch the show from home,” the source said.

The show’s producers are going to extreme measures to get people to attend Kelly’s show. Some days, they will go outside at the Today show with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie to give tickets to people who are in their audience. Other times, Megyn’s staffers have tried to play around with seating configurations to make the studio look fuller than it actually is.

According to the Inquisitr, Kelly is rumored to be heading out the door at NBC after failing ratings and a reported feud with co-worker Matt Lauer. Since the very start of her show, Kelly has gotten off to a very rough start after flubbing interviews with both Debra Messing and Jane Fonda.

The Today show has made no mention of their intent to fire Kelly, and it has also been pointed out that Matt Lauer’s hour of the show suffered low ratings after Ann Curry was fired. Since then, his segment show has made a huge comeback.
