Artist Accuses Kevin Spacey Of ‘Attempted Rape’ At Age 14: ‘He’s A Pedophile’
Just as Kevin Spacey announced he would be seeking “evaluation and treatment” in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations from actor Anthony Rapp, another man has come forward to accuse the House of Cards star of pedophilia and “attempted rape” at age 14.
Earlier this week, Kevin Spacey’s life has been turned upside down after actor Rapp accused the Hollywood legend of sexually assaulting him when he was 14 years old in 1986. Spacey, who was 26 at the time of the alleged incident, released a statement in which he claimed not to remember the incident and also used the opportunity to come out as a gay man.
Since Rapp’s sensational allegations, other men have come forward to accuse Spacey of sexual misconduct. Filmmaker Tony Montana alleged that the actor groped him in public in 2003, while actor Roberto Cavazos claimed he had witnessed Spacey inappropriately touch younger male actors at the Old Vic Theatre (the two-time Oscar-winning actor served as an artistic director at the theater from 2004 to 2015).
On Thursday afternoon, an artist has come forward to accuse Spacey of “attempted rape” and pedophilia as well as detail his alleged sexual relationship with the actor in the early 1980s, when the accuser was 14 and Spacey was 24. The accuser alleged that his extended sexual relationship with Space began when he was 14, and ended when the actor attempted to rape him. The artist chose to remain anonymous, explaining that he doesn’t want “them to be able to find their way back to me.”
The artist alleged that he had first met Spacey at a weekend acting class in Westchester County, New York. The accuser was then a 12-year-old student, while the actor, 22 at the time, worked as a guest teacher. The two allegedly met two years later, when Spacey gave the accuser his phone number.
The artist described that he felt like “winning the lottery” when Spacey gave him his number.
“I called him on the phone the next day, and he told me how he was in love with me and wanted to see me,” the accuser said, adding that they “started a sexual relationship that first visit, which mostly involved me f**king him.”
The intercourse allegedly took place at an apartment Spacey was renting on the Upper West Side in New York City. The artist claims that he had seen pictures of Jennifer Jason Leigh hanging around his apartment. Spacey allegedly told the then 14-year-old aspiring actor that Leigh was his girlfriend, so he assumed the American Beauty star was “sleeping” with the actress at the time.
Describing their first sexual intercourse, the artist alleged that they barely even talked.
“We talked a little bit, but it was more like, ‘You know why you’re here, I know why we’re here’,” the accuser recalled, adding that he remembers “a lot of physical activity.”
After his first meeting with Spacey, the accuser alleged that he and the actor had met up “three or four more times,” which involved “proclamations that we loved each other.” Spacey also repeatedly told the then 14-year-old that he would get him auditions, as he was “really interested” in him as an actor, the accuser alleged.
However, their alleged sexual relationship has never resulted in “anything professional,” the accuser insisted. Spacey was renting a different apartment on the Upper West Side when the alleged “attempted rape” incident took place. The artist alleged that he had called Spacey from a pay phone and the actor told him to come over.
“And I thought we were going to kiss and tell each other we loved each other and I was going to go,” the accuser told New York magazine. “But he wanted to have sex, and this time he wanted to f**k me, which had never happened to me before.”
When asked by the interviewer if Spacey had told him straight-forward that he wanted to “top” him, the accuser answered “he did not say,” adding, “he just did.”
“I guess he must have come up behind me and yanked down my baggy jeans, and he goes to f**k me and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t want to’,” the accuser recalled the incident that allegedly occurred in the early 1980s. “And he pushes hard, and grabs me, and starts shoving up against my a*****e, and it hurts like a motherf**ker.”
Even though the accuser said that he had told him “no,” Spacey allegedly tried to force himself on the teenager again. But the artist said he was “strong enough both somewhere in my brain and in my body” to get Spacey off of him.
“I’m sturdy, thankfully. I throw him off of me and I run crying down the stairs and out into the street and then suck it all up and go have dinner,” the accuser recalled how the alleged incident ended that night.
When asked if Spacey had penetrated him that night, the accuser answered, “No, I don’t think so.”
“I know it hurt, so something went somewhere to the point where it hurt, but I remember feeling like I got him,” the artist elaborated. “I did not feel like I had been f**ked.”
When asked how would he call the alleged incident, the accuser answered, “he tried to rape me,” explaining that Spacey kept forcing him into having sex even though he had repeatedly told him not to.
“I don’t know how I would see that as anything besides an attempted rape, which I was able to thwart,” the accuser said, adding that he “felt afraid,” “betrayed, or in danger, or trapped.”
After the alleged attempted rape, the accuser said he called Spacey “a few days later,” but there was no answer from the actor.
“He’s gone, and I do not hear from him ever again,” the accuser alleged, adding that they ran into one another a year later, when Spacey was starring in the Williamstown Theater Festival’s production of Real Dreams in 1984. Spacey allegedly attempted to invite the teenager over.
Despite his “weird obsession” with Spacey, the accuser said he was able to resist it, and answered, “I don’t want to see you. Don’t come.”
Vulture reached out to Spacey to ask him about the alleged sexual relationship and the attempted rape of the 14-year-old, but the actor’s lawyer responded that, “Mr. Spacey absolutely denies the allegations.”
After Rapp’s allegations surfaced in the media earlier this week, a child sexual abuse expert said Spacey could be jailed for up to three years in state prison.
