‘Outlander’ Season 3 Episode 8: Claire’s Reunion With Jenny Leads To Major Disaster In ‘First Wife’ [Spoilers]

Big things are happening now that Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser have been reunited in Outlander Season 3. The couple is finally heading back to Lallybroch, where Claire is set to see Jamie’s family again after her 20-year absence. However, it looks like Jenny Fraser will not be too happy with her sister-in-law’s unexpected return in “First Wife.” Will Jenny’s action lead to a major disaster in Outlander Season 3, Episode 8?

Viewers got a huge clue why going back to Lallybroch might not be a good idea. In the conclusion of “Creme de Menthe,” Fergus asked Jamie Fraser if Claire Randall already knew about his new wife. Although fans are hoping that Jamie’s secret will not be revealed right away in Outlander Season 3, Episode 8, there is one person who might drop the bombshell and go one step further to let Claire know. Will Jenny Fraser reveal the truth about Jamie’s second spouse as soon as she is reunited with Claire in “First Wife”?

There is little doubt that Jenny will have mixed emotions over her upcoming reunion with Claire Randall in Outlander Season 3, Episode 8. After all, her sister-in-law had mysteriously vanished after the battle of Culloden, just when Jamie needed her the most. Although fans believe that Jenny will be happy to have Claire back in “First Wife,” book readers are already aware that she is somehow responsible for the disastrous events that will take place in Lallybroch.

In the third novel of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander book series, Claire’s return to Lallybroch gets a lukewarm reception. Although Jenny hugs her once she realizes Claire truly is back, it isn’t long before things grow cold between the two women. Jenny later calls for Jamie’s second wife, who is revealed to be Laoghaire. The discovery understandably makes Claire upset, making her decide to leave in the hope of returning to her own time. However, this isn’t the worst thing that might happen in Outlander Season 3, Episode 8. It is possible that “First Wife” will conclude with Jamie getting into a horrible accident.
