Possible Plans For Finn Balor After Kane Made Him Look Weak Twice Revealed

Finn Balor was slowly gaining momentum in the summer after a lackluster return the day after WrestleMania 33. However, all the momentum was gone after easily losing to Kane last week, then getting attacked this week. The latest backstage news has revealed the possible plans for Balor after two straight weeks of putting over Kane.

As recapped by WWE.com, Balor was attacked by Kane this past Monday on Raw after his victory over Cesaro. Kane came out to deliver a huge Tombstone Piledriver on Balor at the entrance ramp. It was the second time “The Big Red Monster” has manhandled “The Demon” on Monday Night Raw.

Just last week a day after defeating A.J. Styles at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs in one of the matches of the year, Balor lost to Kane in just about seven minutes. Kane used three Chokeslams to put Balor away, but some fans were very unhappy with the result. It is because the WWE used Balor to put over a 50-year-old legend who will later be fed to Braun Strowman.

For those who do not know, Kane returned after almost a year of absence three weeks ago on Monday Night Raw by attacking Roman Reigns. Kane took a hiatus to heal from injuries and concentrate on his political career. He will run for the mayoral seat of Knox County, Tennessee, during next year’s election.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer (h/t Sportskeeda), Finn Balor will eventually get his revenge on Kane later this year as “The Demon” character. It is going to be after Kane gets defeated by Strowman sometime in December. Alvarez also speculates that The Shield will destroy Kane to write him off television as he prepares for the home stretch of his campaign.

There are rumors about Balor possibly challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble next year. However, the WWE tends to change their plans on a regular basis and Balor could end up in a different feud. Balor has also been teasing a reunion with The Club members, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Another potential feud for Balor is with Bray Wyatt, who was supposed to face him at TLC as “Sister Abigail.” The match was scrapped because Wyatt suffered an illness and was replaced by Styles. The WWE might still be interested in “The Demon” vs. “Sister Abigail,” but only time will tell. The company needs to rebuild Balor fast because losing to Kane was not the best idea they had.

Finn Balor is the first ever Universal champion in WWE history, but he had to relinquish the title a day after winning it because of a shoulder injury. He never got the chance to reclaim the championship, and fans want him in the title picture. But first, he has to defeat Kane to establish himself as the only “demon” in the WWE.
