WWE News: Alexa Bliss Wants Main Event At ‘WrestleMania’ & Gives Dream Match Opponent

The current WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, has spoken and is setting a high goal for the future as she wants to main event WWE’s WrestleMania. “The Goddess” has already been a part of several WrestleMania matches in the past and has quickly become one of the top women’s superstars on the roster. She’s participated in several unique matches for the division, including a main event steel cage match on SmackDown and a Kendo Stick match at Extreme Rules. However, Miss Bliss has set her sights on being a part of the closing match on “the grandest stage of them all.” In addition, Alexa Bliss named a dream match opponent but is that women’s superstar available to take her on at Mania?

As reported by Ringside News, the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion spoke with Ringside Collectibles during Ringside Fest at New York’s Times Square. After Alexa got a first look at her new WWE Superstars collectible figure due out from Mattel next year, she spoke about other topics. That included her goal of main eventing WrestleMania in the future. It’s something the women’s division has never had the honor of doing just yet, but it seems they are inching closer towards that goal with each and every new match.

To clarify, though, Bliss wants anyone from the women’s division to be part of the WrestleMania main event but would love if she was part of it.

“I want to be in the main event at Wrestlemania. I think it’s something that, even if it’s not me, women in general… it’s our next step in the WWE Women’s Revolution is to have our women main event Wrestlemania, and I don’t think it’s that far off.”

The complete Alexa Bliss interview from Ringside Fest 2017 can be seen on the YouTube video below.

By the way, if Alexa Bliss could take on any women’s superstar in the ring, she has one clear-cut choice. Bliss told the interviewer, “Trish Stratus. Absolutely. I watched Trish growing up, I think she’s an amazing performer and I would love to have a match against her.”

Stratus is a seven-time WWF and WWE Women’s champion, but she hasn’t been in a wrestling ring for WWE in some time. Her last appearance for a WrestleMania was back in 2011 when she teamed up with John Morrison and reality television star Snooki to take on Dolph Ziggler, Layla, and Michelle McCool. She was also on hand for Lita’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame several years ago but hasn’t shown any signs of returning to the ring.

However, fans have seen Bill Goldberg make a return after a lengthy hiatus, and it’s always possible that Stratus could too. It would help Alexa Bliss go over even more as the top women’s heel. If Stratus were to headline that WrestleMania main event, it would also help the women’s division get the publicity they deserve.

WWE fans, do you think there will be a women’s main event match at WrestleMania? If so, how many years will it take before it happens?
