Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Take Kids Out On Halloween For A ‘Tense’ Trick-Or-Treat Outing
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are very serious about their co-parenting duties. Amid the Batman star’s groping scandal and alcohol addiction relapse, the ex-couple reunited on Tuesday to accompany their children go trick-or-treating.
Halloween has always been an important occasion for the Afflecks even before Ben and Jen’s marriage went down the drain. Despite their divorce, the Hollywood A-listers made sure to continue the family tradition this year. But it seemed as if Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s Halloween reunion was somewhat “tense,” the Daily Mail reported.
Going around their neighborhood, the family of five all rode inside Ben Affleck’s SUV, with Jennifer Garner in the passenger seat. Based on the paparazzi photos, the divorced couple barely spoke to each other and looked stiff for a supposedly fun occasion.
Jennifer tried to join the Halloween fun by donning a black spiderweb top. Meanwhile, Ben totally skipped the costumes and wore a rather formal suit-and-tie ensemble.
Since their divorce, Ben Affleck has moved on with a new girlfriend, SNL producer Lindsay Shookus. The 45-year-old actor is currently embroiled in the ongoing sexual harassment scandal in Hollywood, following the Harvey Weinstein controversy. Several female Hollywood insiders have come out naming Ben Affleck for his inappropriate behavior in the past.

The actor, who is appearing in the upcoming Justice League movies, has hit another rough patch in both his career and personal life. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Oscar winner is also enrolled in an outpatient rehab facility for his recurring alcohol addiction.
Meanwhile, Jennifer is said to be focusing on her kids amid all the bad rep her ex-husband is getting. She is keeping her silence and choosing to stay away from the drama.
Earlier in the day, the Miracles From Heaven actress was spotted solo as she took her children to their school’s Halloween party. Their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, decided to go with a Neverland theme and wore coordinated costumes. Violet, 11, wore a Pirate’s hat and boots; Seraphina, eight, went as an adorable Peter Pan; Samuel, five, wore a cute Mr. Smee-inspired outfit complete with a red cap and white sideburns.

Jennifer Garner is currently working on a new action-thriller, Peppermint, which will be her big comeback as a movie star. According to Deadline, the movie is a female version of John Wick and will certainly show off Jen’s killer action chops from her Alias days.
