The ‘Hodges Half Dozen’ Family Shares Their Journey On New TLC Series

Hodges Half Dozen follows Liz and Daniel as they begin the most challenging, yet rewarding phase of their lives. Like so many couples, they used fertility drugs to conceive their 2-year-old son, Rowan and decided to go the same route when trying for another baby. Imagine their shock and surprise when they discovered they were about to become parents to quintuplets.

Their daughter, Teagan, and sons Connell, Liam, Nolan, and Dillion arrived three months early on March 24, 2017. The quints spent their first few months at the Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, Texas in the neonatal intensive care unit. Although this was a scary and emotional time for Liz and Daniel, their extended family was there to offer plenty of support.

Toward the end of July, the family was finally able to be together at their home in Temple, Texas. Liz and Daniel are looking forward to beginning this exciting new chapter in their lives, and the 6 Little Hodges Facebook page recently posted a video of the new series, showing various highlights from pregnancy to birth and beyond.

“I can’t wait to see what our new life’s going to be like,” Liz says in the clip as she holds all five infants. For Liz, that was an emotional moment since it was the first time she was able to hold all of them at once.

Daniel told People that he knows they would rise to the challenge, and Liz added that they will handle whatever life throws their way “because we have to.” She goes on to say that she can’t wait to see Rowan in his new role as the big brother. The Hodges have always wanted a big family, and although they didn’t expect it to happen all at once, they certainly got their wish.

Fans of other TLC shows featuring multiples, such as the popular OutDaughtered series featuring the Busby family, are fully aware that Liz and Daniel will definitely have their hands full in the weeks and months ahead. They will need all the support and help they can get when new challenges and issues arise as their young family grows.
