Teen Creepily Finds Drunk Man Dressed As Clown Asleep In His Bedroom

A Vermont teen got the scare of his lifetime this past weekend when he found a stranger dressed as a clown sleeping in his bed.

According to the New York Post, 43-year-old Sean J. Barber was found sleeping soundly around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning at a home in Marlboro, Vermont. The only problem? The bed that he was sleeping in didn’t belong to him. The Boston Globe reports that a teenager found Barber sleeping in an upstairs bedroom at his home. When authorities arrived at the scene they found an intoxicated Barber, fully clad in a clown costume and also highly intoxicated. During the arrest, police also found cocaine on the man.

It is unclear as to why the man was dressed as a clown but with it being Halloween weekend, there is suspicion that the man may have gone to a Halloween party earlier in the evening. Barber’s creepy costume consisted of a red and white plaid jacket, a blue and white striped and polka-dotted neck piece, and a sparkly purple bowtie. He also was sporting a red painted nose and it remains to be determined as to whether or not the white substance around his face was face paint or cocaine.

Barber was placed under arrest and taken to the Southern State Correctional Facility, where he was required to sober up before he was released. The man is scheduled to be arraigned on December 5 on charges of unlawful trespassing as well as cocaine possession charges.

When people on social media caught wind of the story, they could not get over the fact that something so bizarre had happened.

“Finding a clown sleeping in my bed is the stuff nightmares are made of.”

“Had it been my house, I would test his ability to float. He may or may not still be breathing,” another user said.

This isn’t the only time over the past year that clowns have wreaked havoc on unsuspecting citizens. As the Inquisitr reported a few weeks ago, the Florida police issued a warning to local residents after an 11-year-old boy was almost attacked by a man who was dressed as a clown when he was riding his bike to school. The clown reportedly jumped out of the bushes and the young boy reportedly hit him with a selfie stick in self defense.
