Selena Gomez’s Family Was Always Concerned She Would Leave The Weeknd And Run Back To ‘Vile’ Justin Bieber
Once Selena Gomez started hanging out with Justin Bieber again, her family knew it was only a matter of time before she dumped The Weeknd to get back with her ex. They could see it coming, and now that Gomez has officially split from her boyfriend of 10 months, are fans going to see the return of Jelena?
Right now, it appears the two are just friends, but family and friends are worried that Gomez and Bieber’s friendship could quickly turn into something more. An insider at Hollywood Life claims that those close to Gomez are concerned about the 25-year-old singer getting back with Bieber because of their past relationship issues.
“Selena literally has a second chance at life after her lifesaving kidney transplant, and her family and friends are worried that she is using her time to get back in contact with Justin,” revealed the source.
Gomez and Bieber are reportedly on very good terms right now, and the two could already be hooking up. If that’s the case, the Bad Liar singer’s family is fearful that this time around things could get more serious for the couple, which might result in a wedding or a baby. Gomez’s inner circle does not want that to happen, and they reportedly tried to stop the rekindling of any romance before it was too late.
In fact, according to TMZ, Gomez’s family would prefer that she stay as far away from Bieber as possible.
“Justin is a vile human and will never be accepted by us. As long as she is even speaking to him in any way, it is not only disrespectful to everyone around her, it is disrespectful to herself.”
Despite pleas from her family, it looks like Gomez is heading back to her unhealthy relationship. According to Us Weekly, Gomez and The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, have called it quits, and Gomez is already showing up with Bieber all over Los Angeles.
Cameras have caught Bieber leaving Gomez’s home in the early morning, wearing the same white hoodie he wore the day before, and the two have also been seen eating breakfast and going to church together.
Rumors have swirled for a while that Bieber wanted to get back together with his ex, and now that Gomez is single again, it seems he may have his chance.
The Daily Mail reports that the two have been friendly since her kidney transplant earlier in the year, and he has been great to her throughout her recovery.

Gomez and Bieber dated from 2011 to 2014, but things apparently didn’t end well. During the summer of 2016, the singers duked it out via social media over Sofia Richie, and it led to Bieber deactivating his Instagram account for six months.
Now that they are older and wiser, things are good between the two, and they are apparently getting past their history together and finally moving on.
