Is Blake Shelton Quitting His Role On ‘The Voice’ Ahead Of Season 14?

Is Blake Shelton leaving The Voice after he completes filming on Season 13?

According to a new report, rumors regarding Blake Shelton’s possible exit from the show have been swirling for months and some of those reports have suggested the country singer may soon be fired from the NBC singing competition.

Although NBC has not announced any plans to remove Blake Shelton from their full-time line-up on The Voice anytime soon, he may need to take some time off from the series if he and Gwen Stefani chose to have a baby together. That said, those plans are also unconfirmed and Shelton recently confirmed that he has not been fired by NBC.

“I’ve read many, many times about that — that I’ve been fired,” Blake Shelton told hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on the Today show this morning, according to a report by Life & Style magazine on October 30. “I don’t plan on going anywhere. I’d like to stay there as long as I can.”

Blake Shelton doesn’t want to leave The Voice, regardless of whether or not he and Gwen Stefani soon start a family, and his fans don’t want to see him go either.

“The [Voice] would not be any good if you were to leave,” one person said.

“You are the best coach ever,” another added. “Please never leave The Voice or I’ll have to stop watching it.”

Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are the only coaches of The Voice who have starred on the show in full-time roles ever since it began in 2011.

Although Blake Shelton could soon want kids with his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, that doesn’t necessarily mean he would want or need time off. After all, his longtime co-star and friend Adam Levine welcomed daughter Dusty Rose with wife Behati Prinsloo in September of last year and is expected to welcome his second child with Prinsloo in the coming months.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani sparked a romance with one another during production on the 9th season of The Voice at the end of 2015 and have been dating ever since.

To see more of Blake Shelton and his co-stars, including Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson, and Miley Cyrus, tune into new episodes of The Voice Season 13 on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
