Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Look Cozy Getting Breakfast Together– Should The Weeknd Be Worried?
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were seen having breakfast together at a cafe in Westlake Village, California, TMZ reports. This isn’t the first time that the two exes have been seen together recently. According to TMZ, Justin was at Selena’s house last Sunday and stayed there late, not leaving until midnight.
All of this is fuelling speculation that Justin and Selena may be rekindling their relationship. It also leaves us wondering what The Weeknd, Gomez’s current boyfriend, thinks about them hanging out together. Well, it seems that he’s understanding about it and that probably has a lot to do with the reason why Justin started reaching out to Selena again.
E! Online reports that when Justin heard that Gomez was in need of a kidney transplant because of her struggles with lupus, he completely “freaked out.” So he contacted her and they reunited at her house. According to E!, they’ve hung out a couple times since her kidney transplant surgery and it’s a platonic friendship between two people who have a history. Sources say that The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, trusts that there isn’t anything romantic going on.
“Justin is always checking on Selena to make sure she is feeling good,” an insider source told E!
“Justin has grown up on many levels. It’s nice they are friends and there for each other now.”

Selena also seems to have a genuine love and respect for Bieber even though they broke up.
“I’ll forever support him and love him in a way that…We grew up together. I think people want it to be different,” she said in an interview with Elle Magazine.
“We’re too young for that. Nobody was married. I respect him. And I think he respects me, in a healthy manner.”

In any case, Selena may be too busy dealing with her health issues to complicate her very public love life. As we mentioned earlier, the “Bad Liar” singer got a kidney transplant earlier this year. Gomez has lupus, which can severely damage the kidneys which is what happened to the former Disney star. Selena first spoke about her diagnosis in 2015 in an interview with Billboard, where she also revealed that she had been getting chemotherapy treatments.
Gomez will discuss her fight against the disease in a sit-down interview with Savannah Guthrie for The Nightly News on NBC, E! Online reports. It will air on Monday and Tuesday.
