Jill Duggar Dillard’s Difficult Births Reportedly Have Been Hard On Her And Have Made Her Envious Of Jessa

Jill Duggar Dillard has had two children since her marriage to Derick Dillard in 2014, however neither birth has been easy. Many have speculated that the most recent birth of her son, Samuel Scott, has caused a lot of discord in her personal life. The mother-of-two labored for almost three days before she gave birth to her son via C-section.

The Duggar women pride themselves on giving birth naturally, and without assistance from doctors. However, Jill Duggar Dillard delivered both of her babies in a hospital setting.

It has been widely speculated that something went “wrong” with the birth of Samuel, as Jill was not as quick to post about his birth on social media. Jill also did not inundate her Instagram with photos of her new son, the way she did after giving birth to Israel. She also posted cryptic Instagram messages that made it seem as though she was going through a tough time, sharing Bible verses about leaning on the Lord.

Many suspected that Jill was suffering from postpartum depression or something had happened to either her or Samuel during the birth. Because the Duggar family is so obsessed with having as many children as possible, it would be a travesty if Jill were rendered unable to have further children.

A recent unverified AMA on Reddit shed some light into Jill’s situation. Someone who claimed to be close to the Duggar family conducted an Ask Me Anything on the official 19 Kids and Counting subreddit. This individual stated that while they didn’t necessarily know what happened with Samuel’s birth, they did think that Jill’s difficulty in giving birth has been hard on her emotionally, especially in a family that expects fertility by default.

The poster, who claims to have known the Duggar family for most of their lives, stated that it is likely Jill has become envious of her sister Jessa Seewald, who was able to deliver all of her children naturally without going to the hospital. Jessa, however, did have to take a trip via ambulance to the hospital after giving birth to her eldest due to not being able to stop bleeding.

The tipster doesn’t think this has completely soured their relationship, but it has marred it slightly.
