Erinn Hayes is teasing her return to network television following her unexpected exit from the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait earlier this year. Hayes, who co-starred with Kevin James on the comedian's sophomore CBS comedy, made headlines after she was suddenly let go from the series after its successful first season, seemingly to make room for James' longtime King of Queens co-star Leah Remini. While Hayes' character, Donna Gable, was killed off of the show, Erinn is making it clear that she is not sitting around mourning the death of her Kevin Can Wait character.
Erinn Hayes is active on social media. The actress recently took to Twitter to respond to a fan who asked her about her next acting role. In her answer, Erinn not only named her previously announced lead role on the upcoming Amazon comedy The Dangerous Book for Boys, but she also plugged a previously unannounced—and still mysterious— part in an upcoming NBC project.
"Dangerous Book for Boys comes out February on Amazon, and there's a fun guest spot on a new NBC show sometime in the new year as well," Erinn Hayes tweeted to her fan. In June, Erinn Hayes confirmed to fans that she had been let go from Kevin Can Wait, but until recently she has been silent on the subject. While Kevin James and Leah Remini have done damage control in interviews, Hayes has not publicly talked about the Kevin Can Wait controversy, but she was recently was caught "liking" tweets that called for fans to boycott Kevin Can Wait. Erinn Hayes later tweeted that she didn't care if people watched Kevin Can Wait or not, but she asked for the attacks against Leah Remini in her name to stop.
According to Deadline, Erinn Hayes will play a widow, Beth, in The Dangerous Book for Boys, Bryan Cranston's six-episode Amazon series based on the bestselling book of the same name. Stay tuned for more information on Hayes' NBC role.[Featured Image by Jeff Neumann/CBS]
