Michelle Obama’s LBD: Ex-First Lady Is Poised And Powerful In Bodacious Geometric Dress

Michelle Obama has done it again in her latest fashion choice, according to the latest report. She received praise around the fashion world when she stepped out recently in an “oh-so-perfect outfit for the occasion,” as Pop Sugar wrote. As sources report, the former first lady reminded the world that she still knows how to rock a little black dress like the best of them.

The 53-year-old wife of Barack Obama was the guest of honor on Wednesday at The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Center in New York. Michelle hosted “A Special Evening with Former First Lady” to a sold out audience at the private event.

Michelle went full chic for the occasion. Mrs. Obama shared the stage with David Letterman for a chat. Obama wore a black-and-white Naeem Khan dress that complemented her athletic frame with hints that she’s been staying in top shape since leaving the White House. It’s widely known that the healthy eating advocate has kept fit with frequent trips to local SoulCycle sessions.

Michelle’s dress’ length was cut right at the knee. The LBD featured an interlaced hemline and long sleeves. It was versatile enough for a formal or casual event. As many agree, all eyes were on the most prominent part of Michelle’s mini: a nifty arrangement of geometric shapes.

Michelle opted for a minimalist coordination of accessories. Obama’s only jewelry was a diamond ring. Moreover, her choice in footwear was simple, but chic: strapped black stilettos. For the occasion, Michelle wore her black locks with earthy highlights long and to her shoulders.

Here’s another fashion creation from 2015.

Recently, the world learned that a rather obscure artist was commissioned to paint Michelle Obama’s portrait for the Smithsonian Institute, as the Sun wrote. Amy Sherald, who hails from Baltimore, Maryland, learned over a year ago that she was tapped to paint Mrs. Obama’s official picture and she’s struggled to keep the news under wraps for so long.

“I couldn’t even paint for the rest of the day. When the news came out earlier this month, I couldn’t focus on my painting, either. It’s been surreal, but I try to treat it like it’s no big deal because otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to do any work,” Sherald told an audience of nearly 170 attendees recently.

The transcript from Michelle’s private event is still pending, and it’s unclear what Michelle Obama and David Letterman talked about — at times, crackling with laughter — but Michelle’s LBD gave many fans and readers enough gossip for the moment.
