There are plenty of changes coming to the parks and resorts at Walt Disney World, but another one may soon end up taking place. While there have been numerous alterations officially announced, there are rumors of other big changes coming, and this one may upset a number of people. Rumor now has it that Flights of Wonder, the longtime trained bird show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, will close before the end of the year.
As of now, there is nothing to confirm this, but it’s something that needs to get out there in case it becomes a reality. This will give everyone at least one more chance to make sure they catch Flights of Wonder before it goes.
According to WDWNT, the rumor going around is that Flights of Wonder will run through the end of the year with its last shows set to take place on December 31, 2017.
Flights of Wonder takes place daily at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and has multiple shows each day. It has been one of the most popular shows at the WDW park since it opened in 1998, and it would be quite shocking to see it end its very long run.

As stated on the official website of Walt Disney World, Flights of Wonder is a show that features several species of exotic birds and shows guests the majestic beauty of them. Some of the birds have fun and make the crowd laugh, while others show their impressive wingspans and even fly out over the guests’ heads.
Right now, there are no scheduled times for the show past December 8, but it is not uncommon for entertainment schedules to only be made a couple of months at a time.
There have been a lot of changes to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the past year with the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar. It has two attractions in a brand new land that are still bringing in huge lines five months after opening at the end of May.
It is also possible that Disney is going to update the show, but still keep the same idea and premise.
The rumor of Flights of Wonder closing by the end of 2017 doesn’t really have a lot of detail to it right now, and that includes no reason for its end. If it does end up finishing up on December 31 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it is likely that a new show would start on the Caravan Stage by April, which happens to be the park’s 20th anniversary. Disney hasn’t commented on this rumor, but more should be known soon.
