‘Young And Restless’ Spoilers: Fans Worry Amelia Heinle Is Leaving ‘Y&R’ As Victoria’s Health Crisis Continues

Amelia Heinle has been playing Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless since 2005, but her character’s current health crisis has left some Y&R viewers wondering if the actress is ready to depart the show. As everybody has seen over the course of the past few weeks, Victoria has been experiencing strange and severe health issues, and it was just discovered that the Brash & Sassy face masks were poisoning her. Is this storyline setting up an exit for Heinle?

This isn’t the first time that Young and Restless viewers have worried that Amelia Heinle was leaving the show. In January 2015, rumors started to swirl that the actress might be leaving Y&R. While she did take a brief break from filming, and changes to her social media did cause some to wonder, she returned after a brief hiatus and has seen heavy storyline action since then.

In February 2016, Heinle made a comment during a Facebook Young and Restless chat that once again got some Y&R fans wondering. Soap Hub points out that when Amelia was asked what type of job she would have pursued if she hadn’t become an actress, she noted that she had been thinking about that a lot as she was nearing the end of her contract. Obviously, she re-signed her contract at that point, but some wonder if she was nearing another negotiation period and considering leaving, given Victoria’s current drama.

At this point, there is no sign that Heinle is looking to move on to other gigs. In a November 2016 Soap Opera Digest interview with on-screen brother, Joshua Morrow, Amelia admitted that prior to starting Young and Restless, she tended to move around a lot from job to job. However, she noted that she felt at home almost immediately when she first hit the Y&R set, and since then, she’s come to feel that it’s such a great fit that she needs to stay forever.

Luckily, Young and Restless spoilers tease that Victoria will soon pull through this current health crisis, but some Y&R viewers wonder if this will pave the way for yet another reunion with Billy. Whether that is or isn’t the plan, teasers hint at plenty of drama on the way for this core Newman character.

Victoria may be in rough shape now, but it doesn’t look as if fans have any reason to worry that Amelia Heinle is leaving Young and Restless or that this Newman ultimately won’t pull through.
