Millie Bobby Brown Is Unrecognizable On ‘Stranger Things 2’ Red Carpet: Fans React As Teen Star Slays Premiere

Millie Bobby Brown has rocked a variety of hairstyles since becoming a teen star on Stranger Things, but even diehard fans had to do a double take when the actress turned up on the red carpet for the premiere of the second season of the Netflix hit.

Brown, who plays Eleven on the ’80s-set sci-fi drama, posed with her co-stars during the Stranger Things 2 premiere at the Regency Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California, and the Emmy-nominated British actress looked much older than her 13-year-old self. Not only were Millie’s signature short locks grown out into a long bob, but she wore a totally chic black, button-up leather dress.

Last fall, Stranger Things fans first met Millie Bobby Brown when she starred in her breakout role as Eleven, a mysterious telekinetic girl with a shaved head. The first season of the show also featured Eleven wearing a platinum blonde wig. Promos for the second season of Stranger Things have teased Eleven with curly brown hair. Millie Bobby Brown is only 13, but the actress has made headlines for her red carpet looks in the past. According to People, Brown previously wore a ballerina-style Calvin Klein by Appointment gown to the 2017 Emmy Awards and a silver sequined Jenny Packham dress to the Golden Globes.

But Millie’s hair has also received a lot of attention, especially that iconic buzzcut she sported in the first season of Stranger Things. Millie Bobby Brown told IndieWire she was stunned when Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer told her she had to buzz her hair, but later admitted she felt empowered by the move, like Charlize Theron in Mad Max. Brown even posted a 12-minute video of her original head shaving to Twitter.

“It was the best decision I’ve ever, ever made,” Brown said of agreeing to shave her head for Eleven’s signature Season 1 hairdo.

Now Millie Bobby Brown’s hair is all grown out as she looks all grown up.
