Will ‘Counting On’ Stars Joy-Anna Duggar And Austin Forsyth Vaccinate Their Baby?

The Duggars are usually pretty vocal about their ultra-conservative beliefs, yet the Counting On family have not said much about their view on vaccinations. With Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth expecting their first baby together, will the couple choose to vaccinate?

According to Romper, all signs indicate that Joy-Anna and Austin will probably not vaccinate their baby. The Duggars are very conservative on just about every topic imaginable, from abortion to gay rights, and vaccinations are no different. There is even evidence that some of the Duggar children were not vaccinated for chicken pox. When Josie Duggar was born in 2010, doctors wouldn’t allow her to come home because most of her siblings had chicken pox. Arkansas does not require homeschooled children to get the chicken pox vaccination, which the Duggars clearly did not.

This, of course, doesn’t mean that Joy-Anna and Austin will follow the same rules and forgo vaccinations, but there’s a good chance they will. At the end of the day, we won’t know for sure unless their baby contracts a virus or they open up about their stance towards vaccinations.

The vaccination controversy isn’t the only thing Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have to worry about. According to The Hollywood Gossip, the couple is also fighting rumors of premarital sex, and the Counting On season finale didn’t help matters. The finale centered on Joe Duggar’s wedding with Kendra Caldwell back in September. Although you can see Joy-Anna sporting a baby bump, the family did not talk about the new baby in front of the cameras, fueling the shotgun wedding rumors even further.

Joy-Anna and Austin confirmed the pregnancy back in late August, three months after their wedding. Fans were quick to speculate that Joy-Anna looked a lot further along than three months and suspected that she got pregnant before tying the knot. This would be a major breech of the Duggar family courting rules, which don’t even allow couples to hold hands or give hugs.

Joy-Anna Duggar has not responded to the pregnancy rumors or why her baby was not brought up during the show’s recent finale.
