‘The Good Place’ Season 2: Episode 6 Non-Spoiler Preview & Episode 5 Recap—’Janet And Michael’

On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 8:30 p.m. ET, the highly-anticipated sixth episode of The Good Place airs on NBC. After the huge twist that occurred at the end of Season 1 of The Good Place, when it was revealed that Michael and company are members of the Bad Place, fans have been enjoying even more surprises during Season 2. This reporter had the pleasure of previewing Episode 6, titled Janet and Michael, and one thing is for sure—The Good Place fans won’t be disappointed!

The Good Place Season 2: Episode 5 Recap—The Trolley Problem

The last time we saw team Cockroach—Eleanor (Kristen Bell), Michael (Ted Danson), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), Chidi (William Jackson Harper), and Jason (Manny Jacinto)—their characters were taking interesting turns. Chidi presented Michael with a philosophical quandary: there is a trolley barreling out of control down a track, and there are five workers on the track that will all be killed if it stays its course. You can avert the trolley by pulling a handle, but this will take it to another track where one person will be killed. Do you kill one to save five, or not intervene at all and let fate take its course? Many would feel that it is better to kill one to save five, but what if you personally knew the solitary individual on the other track?

Michael decided to bring Chidi’s question to life, and before we knew it, Eleanor, Chidi, and Michael were all on a trolley speeding toward the five people. This ended up being a way for Michael to, yet again, torture Chidi. Though Eleanor was enjoying the show, which involved Chidi being splattered with blood repeatedly, she quickly got the pair focused back on their mission.

Perhaps even equally as interesting, and funny, on last week’s The Good Place was the development of Tahani and Jason. The pair made progress with their communication and understanding of one another, thanks to them utilizing Janet (D’Arcy Carden) as a therapist. But by the end of the show, Janet started mysteriously malfunctioning.

The Good Place Season 2: Episode 6—Janet And Michael Preview

Whether you’re an avid fan of The Good Place or a casual one, this episode is a must watch! The viewers will learn a bit more about their favorite artificial being, Janet, as well as their favorite demon, Michael. Michael must resolve the issue with Janet and the neighborhood glitching before it gets out of control. By the end of this week’s episode of The Good Place, viewers will have a better understanding as to why the malfunctions are occurring, and they won’t be disappointed.
