Anna Faris Admits She Feels ‘Unbelievably Vulnerable’ With The Release Of Her Memoir ‘Unqualified’

Anna Faris just recently released her very first memoir Unqualified, sharing a very detailed account of her personal life. With some of her secrets now out in the open, the House Bunny actress admits she’s feeling “unbelievably vulnerable.”

In her latest appearance on the Late Night with Seth Meyers, the 40-year-old comedian opened up about her decision to share her story in the controversial tell-all book.

During her interview, Anna revealed the reason why she ended up writing a book about herself. The actress admitted that all these years she’s been hiding behind characters for her career.

Until one day, she realized that she wanted to let people know about the other side of herself, which she rarely shows in public. Apparently, this prompted her to write a book.

“And then I thought, ‘Maybe I have something to say and I can tell people about how lonely I was growing up, or how insecure I felt, or jealous or whatever.'”

However, now that Unqualified is already out, Faris revealed that she has mixed emotions about it. The actress admitted that despite being proud of the book itself, she also feels completely vulnerable.

Anna knows that her new book will not only gain her praises but also criticisms. Still, the actress hopes that many of her readers can relate to her experiences and learn a thing or two from it.

“I feel unbelievably vulnerable at this stage but I’m also proud and I hope that people can relate to it and hopefully there’s this collective idea that we all go through the same stuff.”

In the heartfelt memoir Unqualified, Anna Faris dished about various issues in her life, including her decision to get breast implants, her relationship with now ex-husband Chris Pratt, and even her raunchy sex life.

The actress also shared some intriguing details about how the pressures of Hollywood affect women as well as Chris’ cheating allegations.

It can be recalled that Pratt has been rumored to be cheating with his Passenger co-star Jennifer Lawrence. In the book, Anna shared how she was affected by the rumors, adding that they were “totally hurtful.”

Faris also admitted that she tried her best to ignore the speculations but “couldn’t block them out, either.”

In August, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced that they were officially filing for divorce after eight years of marriage. The former couple has expressed their desire to keep things as low-key as possible for the sake of their 5-year-old son, Jack.
