‘Alaskan Bush People’: Rain Brown Talks About What Helped Her Through The ‘Darkest Times’ In Her Life

When it comes to Alaskan Bush People, Rain Brown is arguably one of the Discovery Channel series’ most talked about cast members. A lot of this has been related to her recent admission that she struggles with depression – a brave move on the part of someone who is only 14-years-old. And with her mother, Ami, still fighting her battle with lung cancer, Rain has again taken to Instagram to candidly discuss her ongoing fight to stay strong despite the challenges she is currently facing.

According to a report from PopCulture, Rain Brown made an Instagram post on Tuesday that explained her rather unconventional way of dealing with the blues, sharing a photo of the following quote.

“What screws us up most in life is the picture in our head of how it’s supposed to be.”

Describing her Instagram post to Alaskan Bush People fans and followers, Rain Brown noted that quotes have helped her deal with “some of the darkest times” in her life. This, she added, was despite the tendency of people to make fun of quotes for being “small and stupid,” and to similarly mock quote lovers for not being able to share original thoughts and ideas.

“Being a copycat if you will, but I find quotes are beautiful and hold all the secrets to life. Even the ones that are right in front of our eyes, quotes are like a [form of] magic that is always there but only makes sense when you need them to [make sense the] most.”

The post on quotes was followed up later in the day by another Instagram post from Rain Brown, as the youngest member of the Alaskan Bush People main cast shared a selfie, describing her expression as her “don’t want to take this picture but I love the person [whom] I’m taking it for” look. This was followed up by several hashtags that alluded to Rain’s depression, as well as a number of messages of concern from followers around the world.

“You are beautiful inside and out Miss Rainy,” wrote one follower.

“God will help you and your beautiful family through this tough time. All of you are awesome Godly people and I love each of you. Keep your head up and ask God for strength and He will give it to you.”

While there were many comments similar to the one above that praised the beauty of the Alaskan Bush People star, Rain Brown’s depression was a more pressing concern for other followers, including one Instagram member who said that Rain should talk to someone to help her with what she’s presently going through.

“You should ask for help. There are people to talk to. What you’ve been through, it might help to talk to someone. You are too young and sweet to be sad and depressed.”

On the other hand, Rain Brown’s most recent Instagram post, which went up earlier this morning, offered a respite from the recent series of serious updates, as she showed off her goofy side while at a Westwood, California Target store.

As previously noted by the Inquisitr, the current downtime for Alaskan Bush People has allowed Rain Brown to open up about her depression, while also taking the initiative to update fans about mother Ami Brown’s battle with lung cancer. For the most part, fans have been appreciative of Rain’s depression-related Instagram posts, commending her for being so candid about her condition and for being a “positive influence” to people, and showing support to her as she simultaneously fights depression and deals with her mother’s ongoing medical issues.
