WWE News: Huge Update On Finn Balor Vs. AJ Styles ‘TLC’ Match

The WWE had to make some major changes when it comes to this Sunday night’s Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event. Thanks to reported cases of viral meningitis, the WWE pulled both Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns from the show and replaced them with huge replacements. One of those was AJ Styles, and there is some exciting news about his match against Finn Balor at TLC.

The Demon Finn At WWE TLC

The WWE match between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt was supposed to be an unusual one. For one thing, Wyatt said that he was bringing Sister Abigail with him, although it looked like he might be coming in the guise of his mysterious mentor. To battle this, Finn Balor was bringing the Demon to Tables, Ladders Chairs.

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline, despite the WWE pulling Bray Wyatt out of the match and replacing him with AJ Styles, it looks like The Demon will still be who Finn Balor wrestles as at Tables, Ladders & Chairs this weekend.

This doesn’t make sense for the main roster Finn Balor, who has only pulled out the demon for major matches, but it makes sense when looking at the fact that Balor used The Demon anytime he had a marquee matchup when he was wrestling in WWE NXT.

AJ Styles Vs. Finn Balor At WWE TLC

Regular WWE fans might not understand how huge this WWE match is. Much like Kurt Angle’s return being thrown out with no build spoils any chance of doing it again, there is also the fact that Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles was also thrown out there when it could have been huge down the line.

However, in a separate tweet, Alvarez said that the WWE planned on using this as a marquee matchup for Tables, Ladders & Chairs and plans to give it a lot of time on the show – allowing the two superstars to really show what they got.

For WWE fans who don’t know, Finn Balor wrestled in New Japan before signing with the WWE and created a faction called The Bullet Club. It included wrestlers like Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and the WWE has hinted at their relationship in the past.

When Finn Balor left for the WWE, AJ Styles quit Impact Wrestling and signed with New Japan where he became the new leader of The Bullet Club. That makes this match between the two most famous leaders of the biggest faction outside of the WWE.

This is also the first time AJ Styles and Finn Balor have ever wrestled.

WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs takes place on Sunday night and will air on the WWE Network.
