FBI Pedophile Stings: 84 Children Rescued And 120 Child Sex Traffickers Arrested

Child Trafficking

The FBI has conducted a series of pedophile stings, closing in on child sex traffickers and pedophile rings over the course of recent months. The recent raids have saved 84 sexually exploited children from traffickers. The youngest child saved was only 3-months-old, according to the Pagal Parrot. The FBI raids on pedophile rings also led to the arrest of 120 sex traffickers.

Pedophile rings and child sex traffickers are reportedly growing problems both nationally and internationally. The FBI is dedicated to finding exploited children and rescuing them from sex traffickers.

The FBI has been working with local law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in an effort to stop pedophile rings and child sex traffickers. The cooperative efforts are made possible by a program that began in 2003 called Innocence Lost National Initiative.

FBI Director Christopher Wray is quoted in the Pagal Parrot, explaining the FBI’s dedication to the rescue of exploited children from child sex traffickers and pedophile rings.

“We at the FBI have no greater mission than to protect our nation’s children from harm. Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested and the number of children recovered reinforces why we need to continue to do this important work.”

The Innocence Lost National Initiative isn’t just about putting pedophile rings and child sex traffickers behind bars explained Wray, but also about assisting exploited children and keeping children safe.

“This operation isn’t just about taking traffickers off the street. It’s about making sure we offer help and a way out to these young victims who find themselves caught in a vicious cycle of abuse.”

The latest raids are just part of a national ongoing effort in the United States that has intensified in 2017. From January 20 to February 25, U.S. law enforcement arrested more than 1,500 pedophiles nationwide, according to the World Tribune.

The FBI is not the only agency cracking down on child sex traffickers and pedophile rings. In Benton County, Arkansas, the local sheriff’s department has their Cybercrimes Division currently mining and using bitcoin to investigate pedophile rings. The Benton County Sheriff’s Department is conducting child sex trafficker stings. Detective David Undiano explained why bitcoin is needed for the child sex trafficker stings to 4029 TV News.

“People are selling child pornography on the dark web and on the internet. They are accepting bitcoins, not payments. We can’t use the sheriff’s office credit card, and we can’t exchange child pornography. We need some type currency to get this and then identify who we are getting it from. That way, we can go arrest that person.”
