Harvey Weinstein’s Rape Case: Lysette Anthony Shares Chilling Sexual Assault Details For London Police Probe

Harvey Weinstein’s rape allegations continue to surface, as British actress Lysette Anthony finally opened up about her unforgettable encounter with the disgraced mogul, complete with chilling details of how the Miramax co-founder stalked and raped her in her own home.

There isn’t much that the 54-year-old Hollyoaks star is leaving for the imagination as she recalls the alleged sexual assault she suffered from the shamed film producer in the 1980s, via an article written by her friend, Charlotte Metcalf, for The Sunday Times.

According to the story, Weinstein stalked Anthony for years before she finally decided to bring the matter to the authorities and recounted the progression of Weinstein’s questionable actions that ultimately led to an alleged rape.

Recalling the decades past events to the London police on Thursday, Lysette Anthony revealed everything about her dreadful experience, and Metcalf shared the story via The Sunday Times.

Meeting Weinstein in 1982, Anthony recalled how excited she was to star in a science-fiction fantasy with Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane for Columbia Pictures. That break led her to New York, and Weinstein’s home.

“I was so young and fresh out of a convent. I was excited to be going to New York first class,” she said.

“I arrived at a smart hotel and the publicist told me I had to go out with a record producer or promoter. I was only about 19 and it never occurred to me not to do what I was told. I was introduced to Harvey Weinstein in the hotel lobby.”

She went on to recall how she had felt the effects of jetlag and decided to head back to her hotel. She apologetically gave her number to the mogul to make up for the missed dinner. However, that proved to be the beginning of Lysette Anothony’s nightmare.

“I’m so nosy about other people’s houses and I was having a good snoop round. The next thing I knew he was half undressed and he grabbed me,” she recalled when she met Harvey Weinstein for a drink at his rental home in Chelsea.

“It was the last thing I expected and I fled. I blamed it on myself because I was tired, a bit drunk and therefore so completely off my guard. He was a so-called friend I’d known for years and the clumsy fumble was the last thing I saw coming.”

Weinstein allegedly stalked her, which ultimately led to the fateful day when the disgraced mogul got what he wanted from Anthony and allegedly raped her.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the London Metropolitan Police confirmed that Merseyside Police had referred to them a rape case around the same date as Lysette Anthony’s encounter with Harvey Weinstein.

“It is alleged that a man sexually assaulted a woman in the late 1980s in West London.”

Neither the victim or accused were named by the authorities, but they confirmed that additional allegations were filed “against the same man” from two more unnamed victims in just two days, based on a previous report from the Inquisitr.

“On 14 October we received allegations that the man sexually assaulted a woman (Victim 2) in Westminster in 2010 and 2011, and in Camden in 2015. On 15 October an allegation was received that the man sexually assaulted a woman (Victim 3) in Westminster in 1992.”
