WWE News: Ric Flair Reveals His ‘Mount Rushmore’ Of WWE Wrestling Stars

Just recently, WWE legend “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair weighed in on which superstars he would consider at the top of the wrestling world. Many professional wrestling fans love to debate who the all-time best superstars are from the WWE. Often times, fans ask one another who they would put on a “Mount Rushmore” of professional wrestling legends. Now the legendary Ric Flair is actually telling them who should be on it, and at least one of the representatives may come as a surprise to fans.

As first reported by Bleacher Report, Ric Flair recently posted his actual photo of who would be on the Mount Rushmore in his mind, and it’s no surprise he’s one of the four superstars featured. In the photo that Flair posted to his Twitter account, Stone Cold Steve Austin is at the front of the group, followed by Flair, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan. Flair is obviously quite familiar with the other three superstars carved into the mountain and gives them the praise they deserve for their overall contribution to the professional wrestling world. However, some fans may be quick to jump in and argue against at least one superstar who wasn’t included.

A die-hard wrestling fan might see Ric Flair’s selections as a snub of another legend. At this past year’s WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view, The Undertaker participated in what many people believe was his final match. Taker lost for only the second time at the big pay-per-view, with Roman Reigns collecting a huge victory for his own resume.

Meanwhile, Taker has achieved numerous accomplishments and titles during his career. Among those were his longstanding “streak” of being undefeated at WrestleMania pay-per-views. Among Taker’s wins during that run was at least one match against Flair. The two have competed more than once over the years as well.

With that said, it would mean removing someone from the choices Flair gave. Most wrestling fans might argue that either The Rock or Hulk Hogan would have to go, but that becomes incredibly difficult. Hogan shouldn’t be ignored for his contributions to the wrestling world over several decades. The Rock helped reinvigorate wrestling fans’ love for the sports entertainment world during his run along with Stone Cold in “The Attitude Era.” So when it comes down to it, Flair probably made the best choices in terms of helping to really boost viewership over the years.

Flair and Hogan shared a rivalry in wrestling as did Stone Cold and The Rock. So when it comes down to it, Flair probably made the best choices in terms of superstars that helped to really boost viewership over the years. If nothing else, a ghostly image of The Deadman’s face could be imposed on Flair’s portrait so that the legendary Undertaker has a resting place above the mountain.

WWE fans, who would you put on your official Mount Rushmore of wrestling stars? Did The Nature Boy get it right?
