Triple H Teases ‘WrestleMania’ Match With The Rock, Says It’s About Making Schedules Work

Triple H and The Rock are two of the greatest WWE superstars of all time. The two legends are excelling in their newfound roles but they are still not retired. Many members of the WWE Universe want to see them face off one more time at WrestleMania and Triple H teased its possibility, as well as talked about his relationship with The Rock, in an interview.

The current Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative for the WWE was in India to promote the company’s live tour this upcoming December. In an interview on Facebook Live (h/t Wrestling Inc.), Triple H was asked about his status as a WWE superstar and he answered that he is going to wrestle again.

“The Game” also tackled his relationship with The Rock and the possibility of wrestling each other one more time at WrestleMania. Triple H noted that he continues to discuss the match with The Rock, and he is very interested in making it happen. However, he added that it will only be possible if their schedule permits it.

“About two years ago, he and I did a backstage promo with each other where we talked about WrestleMania and the competitive nature of that and it lit the internet about the possibility of it. It’s something we’ve discussed. It’s just making schedules work. He’s pretty busy, me too, so it’s making schedules work. But look, right place, right time, I’ll dance one more time with ‘The Great One,’ Rock.”

The Rock is arguably the biggest actor in the world today, and he is a pretty busy man. He is currently filming Skyscraper alongside Neve Campbell and Chin Han. He is also set to film The Fast and The Furious spinoff with Jason Statham early next year. On the other hand, Triple H is a top WWE executive, and he has more presence backstage than on WWE television.

Triple H mentioned in the interview that he is very competitive with The Rock, whether by using their real names or by working out in the gym at four in the morning and posting it on social media. He also said that The Rock may be doing a lot of things in Hollywood, but his heart is still with the WWE. The Rock last appeared on WWE television at WrestleMania 32.

“The Great One” defeated Erick Rowan in six seconds at the event and with the help of John Cena, they managed to fend off The Wyatt Family. According to Bleacher Report, The Rock was at the February 20 episode of Monday Night Raw in Los Angeles and he came out after the show. He pumped up the crowd and he even called out former WWE superstar CM Punk.

The WWE teased a future match with The Rock and Triple H at WrestleMania 31. The Rock confronted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon with the help of Ronda Rousey. There was a talk of doing a Mixed Tag Team Match for WrestleMania 32 but plans were scrapped. Triple H ended up facing Roman Reigns at the event.

Triple H vs. The Rock is one of the biggest rivalries in the history of the WWE. Making it happen one final time is going to give the fans nostalgia, and it’s great for the business. The busy schedule is preventing it from happening, but the two legends are in great shape. The WWE Universe just has to be patient.
