It wasn’t all that long ago when the newspaper and the local TV news were what people turned to for finding the date of the Daylight Saving Time change that occurs twice a year, but since the birth of the internet, things have changed. There’s no need to sift through the pages of a newspaper or stay fixated on the nightly news in hopes that they mention the date of the up and coming time change. These time-consuming tasks don’t have to happen anymore with the internet just seconds away from giving you that information.

With just about everyone having access to the online world today, searching for “When do the clocks change” or “Daylight Savings Time 2017” is easy, but it could get confusing. The U.K., along with many other countries in the world, change their clocks a week earlier than the U.S. makes their time change.

According to an article today from the Mirror, which is a website based in the U.K, the clocks change at 2 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, but that’s not the time change date for the U.S. They are talking about changing the clocks across the pond. With more and more countries having an online presence, you have to read carefully to see just exactly where that information on the time change is coming from.

Today, there are so many different articles from around the world offering up the answer to “When do the clocks change” or “When does the time change.” Daylight Saving Time is the name of the program used in the United States. According to Live Science,: “Most of Europe observes daylight saving time, called ‘summer time,’ which begins at 1 a.m. GMT on the last Sunday in March and ends at 1 a.m. GMT on the last Sunday in October.”

The U.S. Daylight Saving Time program ends for the year 2017 a week later than the people in the U.K. change their clocks.

When do the clocks change for the U.S. Daylight Saving Time 2017 in the fall?

The U.S. developed their Daylight Saving Time program to start on the second Sunday in March each year and end on the first Sunday in November. This year the Daylight Saving Time program ends on November 5 at 2 a.m., which starts off with a bang by awarding you an extra hour of sleep that Sunday morning. According to Time and Date, Daylight Saving Time is around the corner.

“Remember: Sunday, November 5, 2017, 2 a.m. clocks are turned backward 1 hour.”

As with any improvement in life, you usually have to give up something in return. If you make a home improvement, you give up your hard-earned money, if you want to improve your health, you give up certain foods, and even if you win the lottery, you have Uncle Sam with his hand out for his share. So if you want an extra hour of sunlight for the morning commute, you give up that hour of sunlight in the afternoon when Daylight Saving Time ends on November 5.
