Prince Harry Is Coming To The U.S. To Visit The Obamas In Chicago
Prince Harry will be heading to the United States later this month by invitation of the Obamas. Kensington Palace says that on October 31, Prince Harry will touch down in Chicago to attend the inaugural Summit of the Obama Foundation as an invited guest. According to a release from Kensington Palace, Prince Harry has been personally invited by Barack and Michelle Obama to take part in the event.
“His Royal Highness will attend the Summit at the invitation of former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. During the event, Prince Harry will take part in a conversation about ways to support and encourage youth leadership to tackle both local and global challenges.”
Barack and Michelle Obama launched the Obama Foundation back in 2014, and this will be the first Summit, according to President Obama.
“We’re inviting civic leaders from around Chicago, the U.S., and the world to come together to exchange ideas, explore creative solutions to common problems, and experience civic art, technology, and music.”
There is no word on whether or not Prince Harry will be bringing his American girlfriend, Meghan Markle to Chicago with him for the event.
But Prince Harry might be smart to bring Meghan Markle along with him to Chicago, especially if he’d like a tour of the city. Prince Harry’s plus one actually attended Northwestern University, so she might be able to give him some tips on the best places to hang out. British media sources have been waiting for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to announce their engagement, which would make a visit by the couple to Chicago even a bigger deal.
According to British papers, President Barack Obama and Prince Harry have cultivated quite the bromance. At the recent Invictus Games in Canada, people did a double take as they saw President Obama and Prince Harry walking into the basketball arena together, chatting like old friends.
A source sitting close to Barack Obama and Prince Harry says the two were talking about the women in their lives.
“I did hear Obama ask about Meghan and Harry just let him know she had been to watch the tennis with him. Harry was really smiling when he said it. He looked really happy, it was cute. Obama asked how she was just after halfway into the game. Obama just asked about her filming [Suits] and how it was going, and then Harry asked about Michelle and how she was doing. Then Harry said, send my love to Michelle.”
The relationship between the Obamas and Prince Harry has had its funny moments as the two friend exchanged good-natured trash talking messages before the Invictus Games that became part of the promotion.
