Florida Daycare Provider David Gray Charged With Sexually Assaulting Two-Year-Old In A Chick-Fil-A Restroom
David Gray, a 35-year-old Central Florida private home daycare provider, was arrested on Friday afternoon after allegedly sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl inside a Chick-fil-A restroom. As Fox News reports, at least one customer directly witnessed the alleged sexual abuse of the toddler through the gap in the bathroom stall. Initially, the male witness wasn’t sure if David Gray was simply bouncing the little girl or engaging in sexual activity with the two-year-old.
“(The witness) was not sure if the baby was bouncing or if they were having sex. (The witness) stated he flushed the toilet on purpose to let the man hear him in the bathroom. (The witness) stated, if he panics, then he must be doing something wrong.”
The witness had been using the restroom himself when he says he saw caught a glimpse of the activity. In an attempt to alert the Florida man to his presence, the witness flushed the urinal – that’s when he says he saw David Gray panic when he realized that he and the two-year-old child weren’t alone in the Chick-fil-A restroom.
Gray was reportedly utilizing a motorized wheelchair at the time of the alleged sexual assault. According to the police report, he began to “get dressed” immediately after realizing that there was another patron in the restroom. When he emerged from the stall, the witness claims that the Florida daycare provider began cursing, pulled out a stun gun and threatened his life in an attempt to prevent the witness from leaving the Chick-fil-A restroom.

“I’ll [expletive] kill you.”
David Gray then reportedly exited the restroom. It was then that the witness began yelling for someone to call the police, “call the police, a child is being abused in the bathroom.”
As Fox 35 reports, a second customer at the Chick-fil-A told police that she’d seen David Gray come into the restaurant in his wheelchair with the baby girl on his lap. The customer claimed that Gray had been in the restroom with the two-year-old for “an extended amount of time” when the witness to the alleged sexual assault began calling out for the police to be called to the scene.

Chick-fil-A employees were able to identify Gray as a frequent customer. Police later learned that David Gray was employed as a private home daycare provider for the family of his two-year-old victim at the time of his arrest.
Police quickly apprehended David Gray, who was arrested and charged with sexual battery, lewd and lascivious battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious conduct, lewd and lascivious exposure, and child abuse. He appeared in court on Saturday morning and was denied bond. The Florida daycare provider is being held in the Orange County Jail.
