Las Vegas Shooter’s Girlfriend Back In U.S., Marilou Danley Was ‘Sent Away’ To The Philippines Says Sister

Marilou Danley, the girlfriend of Las Vegas mass murderer, Stephen Paddock, is back in the United States.

Danley, 62, arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport from the Philippines on Tuesday night. Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation met and accompanied Danley from the airport. A video that has gone viral shows Danley on a wheelchair being pushed by a federal agent. Two other FBI agents were seen in the video.

Authorities searching room 135, the two-room suite where the 64-year-old Paddock stayed for three days before carrying out the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, found a slot machine card belonging to Danley. Marilou was then sought for questioning to shed some light on what could’ve led Paddock to take the lives of 59 people while injuring 527 more.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police posted a photo of Danley on social media to locate her. Marilou was initially “sought for questioning” but was not considered a suspect though, according to Fox News, Sheriff Lombardo said that Danley is now a “person of interest.”

Danley, a holder of an Australian passport, was in Tokyo before she arrived in the Philippines on September 25. Authorities from the United States, Philippines, and Australia coordinated with each other to locate Danley.

Danley apparently has been cooperative once authorities got hold of her. According to Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo, Danley was communicating with authorities paving the way for her return to the U.S.

Police investigation also revealed that Paddock wired $100,000 to a Philippine account belonging to Danley about a week prior to the Las Vegas shooting. It is not clear what the money was for or who was the intended recipient. The FBI will likely question Danley about the money.

According to Danley’s two sisters, who reside in Australia, Marilou wasn’t involved in any capacity with Paddock’s murderous shooting spree. Danley was in the Philippines at the time of the Las Vegas mass shooting. She arrived there a week prior to the attack.

One of Danley’s sisters also said in an interview with Channel Seven, that, like them, Danley didn’t know anything about the Las Vegas shooting. She also said that Danley “was sent away so that she will not be there to interfere with what he’s planning.”

Danley supposedly was unaware that she was going home to the Philippines. Paddock apparently surprised Marilou with a ticket to her home country. Steve, as the sisters called Paddock, told Danley, “Marilou, I found you a cheap ticket to the Philippines.”

Initial investigations revealed that Paddock and Danley, a former high-limit hostess for Club Paradise, were in a relationship. They first met at a casino which Paddock frequented.
