At a press conference in New York earlier today, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and WWE promoter Eric Bischoff announced that they were both joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA).
Hogan to the press conference that he was becoming a “partner” in the company, although was surprisingly vague as to what that might involve. Eric Bischoff’s role in TNA also wasn’t specified.
Speculation suggests that Hogan may return to the ring, if not regularly then several times a year in showcase events. The good money as Hogan becoming a personality for TNA, presenting and appearing at events.
The President of TNA wasn’t any more helpful in what Hogan will be doing, saying only that: “Hulk Hogan is one of the world’s top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family.”
Will Hogan return to the ring? We’ll soon find out…well, eventually.
