Madonna Threatens Fans Who She Sees Smoking At Her Concert

Madonna takes smoking seriously — enough it seems that she threatens fans who she caught lighting up at one of her recent concerts.

While she was doing a soundcheck for a show in Santiago, Chile, Madonna got angry when she saw some fans in the crowd smoking cigarettes. The 54-year-old signer grew irate, threatening to pull out of the show, E! News reported.

Luckily, a video documented the exchange as Madonna threatens the fans.

“There are people smoking right now, ” she yelled. “No smoking!”

“If you’re going to smoke cigarettes, I’m not doing a show,” she added, “You don’t care about me? I don’t care about you. All right? Are we going to play that game? I’m not kidding. I can’t sing if you smoke. ¿Entiendes?”

But the apparently didn’t stop, so Madonna threatens the fans some more.

“You’re looking right at me and smoking cigarettes, like I’m a stupid f–king idiot.”

The incident was part of an odd year for the Material Girl in which she was booed by fans at another concert in France, booed again at a concert in New Orleans when she was plugging President Obama, and threatened by politicians in Russia for her defense of the punk rock band Pussy Riot. In concerts recently, the singer has been on stage, writhing in skimpy outfits that would have been more fitting for the Madonna of the 1980s.

This incident had a happy ending, TMZ noted. After Madonna threatens the fans, they decided to put their cigarettes out and the concert went on again as planned.
