Andrew Andre Dies Of Kidney Cancer At Age 54, Peter Andre Devastated


Australian musician Peter Andre was being comforted at his home last night after losing his brother Andrew Andre to a battle with kidney cancer. Andrew was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February and was progressing well in his treatments until he took a turn for the worse earlier last month. Peter, his parents, and Andrew’s wife and children were at his bedside when he passed. Andrew Andre was 54 years old.

Peter Andre, whose musical career has blown up in recent years, was also married to Glamour model Katie Price Jordan.

A spokesman for Peter Andre told the press:

“Peter is devastated. He was very, very close to his brother. This is the very first family member Peter has experienced losing. He just needs time to grieve.”

A family friend told the Mirror:

“Everyone was with him when he passed away. They all did everything they could for Andrew and there wasn’t one waking minute when he wasn’t with somebody.”

Andrew and Peter’s brother Chris also confirmed Andrew’s passing on Facebook last night.

Chris wrote:

“Love you my brother. Never to be forgotten, i’ll see you when i get up there someday. Until then rest in peace and enjoy the tranquility.”

Michael Andre, another one of Andrew’s brother took to Twitter to let the world know of Andrew’s passing.

Peter andre has been touring the world on his “Up Close And Personal” Tour. He cancelled his remaining tour dates this month to be with Andrew. Peter also moved Andrew into his personal home and hired a team of specialists to take over his care. There is no date for when Peter plans to begin touring again.

Peter had given an interview with Andrew on one of his many reality show appearances and said when he learned his brother was sick:

“I was horrified, so shocked, and I broke down. The tears were just rolling down my face and I’ve cried every day since.”
