Married at First Sight Season 5 is nearing its conclusion, and its producers seem to be exercising their creative muscles a little bit more. In the recently aired MAFS episode, Danielle and Cody had an incredibly awkward encounter, after the former was depicted to have walked in on the latter while he was having an intimate moment with himself. While the scene was notably amusing considering the couple’s lack of chemistry with each other, Cody has flat-out stated on Twitter that the event never happened at all.
Interestingly, Cody’s statement on the microblogging platform has been supported by his wife, Danielle, who further explained that she was really just checking on her dogs when she walked in on her husband. In a short statement on Twitter, Cody simply stated that the self-pleasing incident, which all but bolstered his fairly lame depiction on the reality TV series, was likely edited in a very creative manner.
“Never happened. #MarriedAtFirstSight”
Interestingly, even Danielle herself backed up Cody’s statement on Twitter. Responding to her husband’s tweet, Danielle stated that she was likely just checking on her pets when she walked in on her husband.
“Pretty sure I was actually just checking on the doggies in the room there.”
This season of Married at First Sight has already courted some controversy among its viewers and contestants for being a little bit too liberal with its editing and its depiction of its contestants. Just last week, Cody expressed his frustration on Twitter for being depicted as a joke, even revealing that the hit reality TV show’s producers were the ones who consistently forced him and Danielle to talk about their life in the bedroom.

In a recent tweet, Cody voiced out a particular sentiment that has been going on for a while among viewers and fans of the hit reality TV show — that the storyline regarding his and Danielle’s lack of intimate contact is getting really old.
“Watching mine and @Danielle_MAFS story sucks. Same thing over and over. A lot more happened during the 8 weeks. #MarriedAtFirstSight.”
Cody’s recent grievances regarding the show’s editing, coupled with Danielle’s own statement, has triggered a lot of flak from the Married at First Sight community. Over the past weeks, viewers and avid fans of the series have criticized the hit reality TV show’s producers for portraying nothing but negative encounters between Cody and Danielle.
Danielle, for her part, even responded to a critic on Twitter, who personally bashed her for not being intimate enough with her husband. According to Danielle, she and Cody did have warm encounters with each other during the filming of the hit reality TV show. Viewers just didn’t get to see it.
“We did. Y’all don’t see A LOT. #MarriedAtFirstSight”
Cody and Danielle have been depicted as the couple with the least chemistry on the hit reality show’s ongoing season. The pair would be revealing the final decision on their marriage within the next couple of weeks.
