Kenya Moore’s Marriage Surprised ‘RHOA’ Kandi Burruss, Who Thought It Was Fake

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore’s secret wedding even took her co-star Kandi Burruss by surprise.

Kenya married businessman Marc Daly last month in St. Lucia, and she initially kept his identity a secret. She eventually revealed his name and showed off a picture of her new husband on her Instagram page this week.

Kandi Burruss told E! News that she found out about the wedding online. Kandi then told the publication about her reaction to the news.

“And I had to call her like ‘Yo! You’re married?’ Because I was thinking maybe it was fake. And then she’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m really married.'”

Kenya had been dating Marc for about six months before they got married. Kandi has not met Marc Daly, but Kenya told her about him during a conversation they had on the phone. There are rumors that Kenya has been given an ultimatum to choose between The Real Housewives of Atlanta and her husband.

During an interview, last month Kenya spoke about her desire to have children with her husband and stated that they have not discussed whether he will appear on the show.

Kandi spoke about the pressure the reality TV show can put on relationships when speaking to E! News at the 2017 Babypalooza event in New York City.

“It’s a lot of tension. And for somebody that’s never been on TV, it’s a lot of pressure and it would have to be something for him to get used to. And not everyone is able to get used to it.”

There have been many divorces and breakups in the Real Housewives franchise, which may be a testament to the pressure reality TV puts on relationships.

Kenya has dispelled rumors that she is not returning for RHOA Season 10. However, new reports suggest that Bravo producers are only interested in keeping her on if her relationship is filmed. Moore has spoken about having a ceremonial wedding as many of her family members and friends did not make it to the secret wedding. It is unclear whether she agreed for this to air next season on RHOA.

TMZ reported that Marc Daly does not like the portrayal of black men in the series and is not interested in appearing. Moore reportedly argued that her husband is not part of the contract, and she doesn’t want to jeopardize their marriage.

Kenya’s ex-boyfriend, Matt Jordan, claimed that Peter and Todd Tucker advised him to get paid about $10,000 for his role with Kenya Moore last season. This has led to rumors that Kenya hires her lovers for a storyline, which she had denied.
