‘The Winds Of Winter’ Finished? George R.R. Martin Might Announce Release Date By September

George R. R. Martin could be taking on more projects for a great reason. There is a possibility that the A Song of Ice and Fire author has finally finished the highly anticipated sixth book The Winds of Winter.

So when exactly will the long-delayed novel get published? There are speculations that The Winds of Winter is about to be sent to the publishers and George R. R. Martin will announce the release date as soon as Game of Thrones Season 7 concludes in September.

Fans were undoubtedly excited when George R. R. Martin admitted that he is hard at work on The Winds of Winter. However, it also looks like the writer is taking on more projects including the Game of Thrones spinoffs and the recently confirmed HBO series based on Nnedi Okafor’s book Who Fears Death.

Normally, people who have been waiting for The Winds of Winter would complain that Martin is once again getting distracted from his novel. However, there are also some who believe that the new projects could mean that the writer is close to finishing, if not already done with the sixth A Song of Ice and Fire book.

It might be hard to imagine that George R. R. Martin is finally writing faster but the author has obviously been in a better mood lately, especially in one of his more recent posts on his LiveJournal. There are speculations that Martin is more open to taking on new projects now that he is already finishing up The Winds of Winter.

The possibility of the long-awaited novel finally being ready for publication is certainly exciting. George R. R. Martin has also pointed out that the new projects are not likely to distract him from tidying up the last details in The Winds of Winter.

The author confirmed on his blog that he will only be one of the several executive producers of Who Fears Death. In addition to that, Martin revealed that he will not write scripts for the Game of Thrones successor shows and will only focus on The Winds of Winter.

The release date of The Winds of Winter has yet to be announced. However, George R. R. Martin could finally have good news by the time Game of Thrones Season 7 concludes later this year.
