‘Little People, Big World’ Star Tori Roloff Shares Update On Jackson, His Size Surprises Fans

Tori Roloff recently updated Little People, Big World fans on what baby Jackson is like at 2 months of age, and one of her fun facts about the handsome guy took them by surprise.

Jackson Roloff turned 2 months old on July 12, and Tori Roloff celebrated the major milestone by sharing a sweet Instagram post about her son. The Little People, Big World star has come up with a creative way to document Jackson’s first year of life, and it obviously involves sharing adorable photos of the baby boy. Tori has been placing her son on a sheet surrounded by numbers 1 through 12 and taking snapshots of him wearing some of his most stylish outfits. Her pictures are accompanied by a list of Jackson’s accomplishments and a description of his personality.

According to the first-time mother’s latest update, “Baby J” has become a pro at getting his beauty sleep, and he’s also a big fan of napping. In fact, he loves catching some z’s so much that he even falls asleep when he’s hanging out at the pool with his proud parents.

Jackson Roloff loves showing Zach and Tori how much he loves them by blessing them with many sweet little smiles, but he can get a little cranky when he’s hungry. There are two big ways his personality has changed since Tori’s one-month update on Baby J. He used to only “tolerate” bath time, but now his mom says that he “LOVES” it. He also hated having his diaper changed, but now he actually gets excited when he gets a fresh nappy.

Many of Tori Roloff’s Instagram followers responded to her Baby J update by gushing about how cute he is in his little denim shirt and khaki pants. However, there were also a few comments about what she wrote about his height and weight.

“Jackson is 98th percentile for height and weighs over 12 pounds!” her Instagram post read. “Keep growin baby J!”

“He is in the 98th percentile for height but he is a dwarf?” one fan wrote in response.

“98th percentile? Meaning he’s basically average size?” another commented.

Fans were surprised that Baby J is so big because he was born with achondroplasia, the same form of dwarfism that his father, Zach, has. A few even wondered whether Tori meant to specify that Jackson was in the 98th percentile for height for children with achondroplasia. However, this probably wasn’t the case.

According to a CDC chart, the average 2-month-old male will measure about 23 inches and weigh around 12 pounds, the same weight as Jackson Roloff. A study published by the American Society for Clinical Nutrition says that infants with achondroplasia can have similar heights to average-stature children up to the age of 6 months, and the average weight of achondroplastic children is comparable to that of the lower 50 percent of average-stature children from birth through 16 years of age. In other words, Jackson’s height and weight aren’t unusual for a dwarf baby.

No matter what size Zach and Tori Roloff’s baby boy is, one thing’s for sure: he’s already become a very big star.
