Kylie Jenner Set To Make Huge Pay Day With Launch Of New Sunglass Collection
Kylie Jenner has just dipped her feet into the eyewear industry and her new sunglass collection is about to make her a ton of money. As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the reality star turned business mogul recently teamed up with sunglass retailer Quay Australia to launch a “limited edition” capsule collection of shades this summer.
Seemingly, everything the Kardashians touch turns to gold and Kylie’s new sunglass collection will be no exception. As Forbes reported, Kylie Jenner made $18 million in 2016 alone. This was largely due to the success of Kylie Cosmetics, which started selling only lip kits and has since branched out to sell everything from eyeliner to blush to eyeshadow palettes. And with sunglasses retailing for $75-$80, Kylie is sure to make a killing off of this collaboration.
When the 19-year-old officially announced the launch of her sunglass “capsule” collection on Instagram earlier today, her 95 million plus followers reacted with just as much excitement as they did when she announced the launch of her wildly popular lip kits. Not only did her post get over 6 million likes, but it has also received over 132,000 comments after just eight hours of being posted on the popular social media page.
“OMG first lip kits, now sunglasses? Kylie Jenner is going to clean out my bank account,” one fan said.
“So OBSESSED! Love all of these styles,” another fan chimed in.

Jenner’s sunglass collection is comprised of four different styles — Iconic, Starstruck, Hidden Hills, and Purple Honey. The Iconic sunglasses are oversized aviator frames with a mesh accent in the middle and mirrored lenses. They’re available in black, white, or gold frames and retail for $75. The next item in the collection are the Starstruck sunnies, which retail for $80. The shades are shaped in the popular “cat eye” frame and they come in rose, olive, and grey.
The Hidden Hills sunglasses are the only pair in the collection that only comes in two colors — pink and black. The sunnies have reflective lenses with metal studs on the sides and in the middle of the glasses. These retail for $75. Last in the collection is Purple Honey, which ironically also comes in three different colors — gold with purple lenses, gold with green lenses, and gold with gold lenses. This pair also retails for $75.

On their Instagram page, Quay announced that buyers of the #QUAYXKYLIE collection would receive a free black pom pom with orders from the collection, while supplies last.
