‘RHOC’ Vicki Gunvalson Defends Ex-Boyfriend Brooks Ayers, Claims He Wasn’t ‘A Monster’

Vicki Gunvalson may be in a relationship with Steve Lodge, but the Real Housewives of Orange County star hasn’t forgotten about her controversial ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers.

According to a new interview, which was conducted earlier this week before the premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12, Vicki Gunvalson is still defending her former partner, claiming that despite his controversial persona, he isn’t the monster fans believe him to be.

Although Vicki Gunvalson hasn’t spoken to Brooks Ayers in nearly two years, the longtime reality star wants fans to know that her former boyfriend wasn’t a monster in her life. Speaking to E! News‘ Melanie Bromley, Gunvalson admitted that Ayers did do some “weird a** crazy things, in an effort to” but when it came to their relationship, he wasn’t a monster.

Still, Vicki Gunvalson said that for Ayers to do what he did during The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10, he clearly wasn’t the man she thought he was. As fans will recall, Ayers was questioned by a number of Gunvalson’s co-stars about his alleged cancer diagnosis and ultimately chose to reveal fraudulent medical records to prove he was being honest about his illness.

Brooks Ayers was ultimately exposed as a liar when the City of Hope hospital confirmed that they had not treated the reality star for cancer.
