Sam Heughan As ‘The Bachelorette’? The ‘Outlander’ Star Said He’d Join The Reality Show On #AskSam On Twitter
Outlander star Sam Heughan wants to be known for more than his role as James “Jamie” Fraser on the hit Starz show.
The Scottish actor recently held an informal Q&A on Twitter for his fans worldwide, wherein they were permitted to ask him a variety of questions, from which he chose the ones he wanted to answer.
According to JustJared, a fan by the name of Terri asked Sam Heughan which reality show he would join if given the opportunity.
This answer immediately prompted fans to question whether this meant that he was currently single. But JustJared set the record straight.
“Sam Heughan did a Twitter question and answer today with his fans and he answered all sorts of burning questions. Sam has been in a relationship with MacKenzie Mauzy and they were last photographed together in May.”
When Sam Heughan gave that answer, it took literally no time at all for his Outlander co-star, Steven Cree, to jump in with a burning question of his own.
“I’m sitting with Graham McTavish,” said Cree, referring to their former Outlander co-star who now plays Saint of Killers on AMC’s Preacher. “If you could take us both on a date anywhere in the world, where would it be?”

Sam Heughan immediately replied, “Somewhere they’d have trouble letting you in.”

Meanwhile, according to The International Business Times, Sam Heughan — who is currently filming the upcoming Lionsgate film, The Spy Who Dumped Me — also took the time during #AskSam to talk about the film and what it’s like to work with actresses like Mila Kunis and Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon.
Heughan said that he will be donning a Hungarian accent for the film. Many fans found this to be most impressive, however, Heughan also dons an exaggerated Scottish accent to play the role of Jamie Fraser on Outlander.

Fans who are eager to see Sam Heughan live and in the flesh — so they can ask him the clearly burning questions that they have on their mind — will have to wait for San Diego Comic Con when, according to Deadline, he will be on the Outlander panel with his co-star, Caitriona Balfe.
“A SDCC fav, the Outlander panel will see leads Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan join Moore and Gabaldon as well as fellow EP Maril Davis on the Con’s second day. Fellow cast members Tobias Menzies, Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin will be in attendance too. World of Dance judge Jenna Dewan Tatum will host the panel.”

Outlander will return to Starz in September for its third season. A fourth season is also soon to be in the works, though there’s some question as to whether the show will continue after that — and if it does, if the show will include Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, since they’ll have aged significantly in the story.
