Kendall And Kylie Jenner Respond To Tupac T-Shirt Lawsuit

Kendall and Kylie Jenner have angered a bevy of artists with their “vintage t-shirt” collections that featured famous recording artists with their own image or initials slapped over them. Thus far, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan have had lawsuit threats from the estate of Notorious B.I.G. in addition to The Doors and the estate of Jim Morrison. It is unknown if the lawsuits will, however, move forward.

The latest in line of individuals looking for monetary damages is Michael Miller, a famous photographer for whom Kendall and Kylie Jenner used his work in the form of a photo of the late Tupac. The photographer wants $150,000 in damages for each item sold.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner pulled the items from the shelves when it became clear that they had upset quite a few people, even being blasted by the Osbournes and Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s daughter.

A spokesperson for the Kendal + Kylie line claims that the lawsuit is baseless, as only two Tupac shirts were sold before the line was pulled.

According to the brand, they purchased the t-shirts from a small company who already had the rights to sell the images on the t-shirts. They then transformed them with photos of Kendall or Kylie Jenner or the women’s initials.

Michale Miller, however, says that he officially registered his photo of Tupac as copyright, and therefore Kendall and Kylie Jenner had no right to use the image.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s company who creates the clothing, which operates under the brand Canada, Inc., explained the situation.

“Only two Tupac T-shirts were sold before being pulled from distribution. Canada Inc did not copy anyone’s image, remove any copyright notice from any image or attempt to exploit Mr. Miller’s claimed right of publicity.”

The t-shirts were sold for a whopping $125 a piece and were evidently already vintage shirts.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner, however, seem to be less concerned about their t-shirt line and more concerned with getting in some partying over the summer. The girls were recently spotted at the Wireless concert in London, where they watched Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, perform and hung out with bestie Bella Hadid.

Kendall Jenner was recently spotted in the Greek Isles taking a dip in the ocean fully clothes, though the wet dress did, unfortunately, cause a bit of a wardrobe malfunction for the famous model.

Kylie Jenner recently debuted electric red hair, which may or may not be a wig, considering how often her hair styles switch up.
