The cast of Jersey Shore is reportedly filming a reunion special in New Jersey.
According to a report by OK! Magazine on July 8, the cast — including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio — has been spotted filming in Point Pleasant Beach and Ashbury Park, and fans couldn’t be more excited.
As the outlet explained, the Jersey Shore cast has reportedly reunited for an upcoming MTV special.
On social media, Sorrentino seemingly confirmed the news by sharing an article and telling fans, “We have a situation.”
Sorrentino also posted an article on Instagram from USA Today, which was titled, “Back at the Jersey Shore.”
Polizzi also shared a number of photos of herself and her co-stars, including Samantha “Sweetheart” Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese, on Instagram.
At the end of last week, a report by the Asbury Park Press confirmed that the Jersey Shore cast had been filming scenes together for the past month and visited the boardwalk on June 16 for a dinner date at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk and games nearby.
During dinner, Farley Snapchatted a photo from inside the restaurant and told fans, “We’re back.”
The Asbury Park Press also confirmed that the show’s producer, Bright Road Productions, applied for a filming permit with Asbury Park to film on the boardwalk and the beach. That said, Mayor John Moor was not aware that the Jersey Shore cast would be the ones filming as they applied for the permit under the name “Roadtrip Reunion.”
According to the report, the details surrounding the Jersey Shore reunion are a bit unclear. For instance, it is not known how the special will air or which channel it will air on. While the first six seasons of the show aired on MTV years ago, a spokesperson for the network claimed that what the cast was filming was not an “MTV project.”
Although several members of the Jersey Shore cast have confirmed that they are together in New Jersey, no one has spoken out about a potential premiere date for their reportedly upcoming special.
